GBS3: Is Social Media bad for your business?

We all know social media can be a GREAT marketing tool, but often it can be used badly and not end up being that great for your business. In this episode, we talk about how a lot of us are keen to jump on the social media bandwagon, yet need to know when social media is good and when it’s BAD for our business. We talk about how social media needs to be joined up with the rest of your online marketing activity, you need to create the objective for why you’re doing social media and how the big brands do it well and not so well. And we admit to the pitfall of using social media to claim that we’re ‘busy’ in our business, when really we’ve been spending hours on Facebook catching up on gossip! We talk about how to prevent that from happening and how to use tools, schedules and boundaries to make us more efficient and successful in your use of social media.
