Pattern of Lies
How to not be Fooled by the Lies We see how to not be deceived by the pattern of lies, liars, and lying spirits. We can look around us and see that we , our friends, and a good deal of our nation has been deceived, and badly so. We have a story in the Bible about a liar sent to be used in warfare. His name was Rabshakeh, and he was a captain, sent my a brutal marauding emperor Senacharib, to talk to the men of Judah, get them snookered, discouraged, and confused. Thus, he hoped to make his battle against the easier. Actually, he was pretty good at it. Rabshakeh used a pattern of accusations, lies, and false deals. it might have worked had the Judahites not believed in God; had they not known something about that God was different; had there not been a prophet on the seen and a good king. Isaiah 37( & II Chronicles 36 and 2Kings 18 & 19) Lies, Accusations, Projections, Intimidation, Misleading Deals We are going to look at prophet Isaiah's memory of the incident. he doesn't sanitize the picture that Rabshakeh paints as much as Ii Chronicles. Fear is a weapon. Confusion is a weapon. But hope for normalcy can also be a weapon. Notice that he gives misleading deals, painted with comforting words. The kingdom needed to take a step back and carefully consider. They needed to compare what they were hearing with what they knew. They needed to consult God. is This Really an Attack on the Church? In the final analysis, the attack was on God and God's character. Rabshakeh was only a captain, doing what his emperor was telling him. That emperor worshiped an idol that today we think really was a front for a demon. Anyway, God was personally confronted. Not just the religion; not just the kingdom, not just all the people, but the thing went to the depth. Rabshakeh used God's person name and said over and over that that God could not stand up to the Assyrians. And so, God took it personally. We see in the end of the story, how God reserved the lat move for Himself. Judah won without fighting this time. Most of the time, they did have to show up. This time, they had to just not be deceived by the lying. So, today, we focus on the pattern of lying. If this is not very clear to you, would you like a retrospective, along with a course in reasoning? Seriously, I am so amazed in a bad way at how people have been so fooled. Can people really be that stupid? Are that many people really paid off? What is going on? Please please do share this episode with your pastor! Here are some pastors who say 1) enough is enough and 2) pastors, you had better get on board. https://flashpoint.govictory.com/episode/flashpoint-enough-is-enough-pray-eric-metaxas-dutch-sheets-mario-murillo/ Please listen to the end, where they pray for pastors. Secrets to Overcoming Current Problems in Education
Secrets to overcoming current problems -- that we are not permitted to talk about!! But, so far, we can still tell Bible stories. Today, we start a 3 part series on the story about Rabshakeh the liar. He was sent to discourage and entrap the kingdom of Judah. Hezekiah was the King and Isaiah the prophet was alive. From II Chronicles 32, Isaiah 37 & ( 2Kg19). First we will get 3 major secrets. That's today. Next, we will see the pattern of lying that Rabshakeh used. Very instructive and pertinent. IN THE NEWS So very much has changed since I started this series 3 weeks ago! Then, the major news item was that the US federal government had officially directed the FBI to consider parents who complained at school board meetings about inappropriate curricula as.... domestic terrorists. How many things wrong are there with this picture? First, the parents, the citizens are who the board is supposed to be working for. That is USA philosophy, democratic philosophy, and is true ... unless somehow we switched to tyranny. Second, The federal government is not supposed to be charge of education in this country. That is supposed to be conducted locally or by the state. Thirdly, this same federal administration is no longer considering foreign terrorists as enemies and has welcomed many of them to our soil, even tho those groups have not dropped their plans to overtake our government, our culture, our religion -- and is right now killing Americans and Christians vigorously in their land and also attacking militarily our allies. It makes no sense, unless.... Well, do you think mama bears are going to be okay with intimidation? tyranny? grooming their children for sexual depredation? PARENTS COMPLAINING TO SCHOOL BOARDS Really, this is the current problem in education?!?! Pornographic curricula? Hate and division inspired social studies? Grooming children for depredation? Even cover-up rape, at situation set up by the far left agenda? What? And the usual method of fixing... parents' (taxpayers) democratically making their wishing known itself is now seen as a problem? Someone may object that in a few small instances there were parents who were somewhat unruly. Would that in itself be an argument? Get a few unruly and for that reason disallow democracy? Force everyone to be a criminal, even with no violations? What? A great retort to this objection is to ask who was the instigator? Weren't the officials themselves the one who incited unruliness? Standard procedure obstructs and limits citizen input. Indeed, weren't the the officials the ones who started the violence? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH We are tired of lies. All, but the most gullible huddled around the liars, knew there was not one shred of evidence that Trump colluded with the Russians. We all knew that the opposite candidate grossly violated the law with her email/server. Not a few sort of had an inkling that it was she who was colluding with foreign enemies. How could people not have knows about Hunter Biden's laptop, which was not merely a sex scandal, but showed that the Biden family was paid millions, ongoingly, by the CCP. Democrat friends tell me that such knowledge would have changed their vote. How could they not have known???? Is there really that much narrow banding? I knew. I thought everyone knew. EEK! Could people really not see that the corporate media was fear mongering the covid-19? Are people really that innumerate? How is it that people can straight faced say that the mnRNA injection is safe? Really? My gosh! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. You will want to hear something about the secrets. First, you have to understand what is up. Winning the War with Praise and Prophets
What happens when you are attacked? Viciously. Unnecessarily? Good news! God takes care of His. From the lesson of King Jehosaphat -- he sought the Lord he listened to the answers - through the Word, through the prophets he did as told He showed up The Lord fought the battle by setting "ambushments." The enemy killed themselves. The kingdom of Judah was left with spoils of war. Then they had rest, peace. Notice some of the details in the story! Why did the army have so very many people? Why did they have so very many jewels? Notice that the enemy, which offered to start war, ended fighting with itself. Notice that those who just wanted peace and quiet finally got it. There are lots of lessons here. I leave some quiet time in the reading, so you can think-- and apply it to today. Some of the aggression we are facing is so egregious that it is hard to even believe. The slander is so ridiculous. The people of God have been altogether too sweet. But the evil always overplays its hand, we say. God in this case, "set ambushments." The Kingdom of Judah had to show up and sent their praise team ahead of their army. The enemy killed each others. Then there was 3 days of picking up jewelry etc. Wow. Today, too, we should trust the Lord. We will have to show up. "God is in control" is normally a cop-out. Nevertheless, the prophets that I trust have said encouraging things. It is time to continue believing. However, I do rejoice at the news of this weeks, that many more people are showing up. Here is Steve Turley's collection about activities in Australia. This is the most fulsome video I've seen, relying mostly on Avi Yemeni's, Rebel News, reporting. Union members confront union leaders in cahoots with government over-reach, in show of force that police can't intimidate. Notice particularly 8:31, shown widely. Mature construction worker, watching from grassy sideline is aggressed upon by cop in riot gear and assault rifle, yelling, doesn't move, and sees cop retreat. Comments heard include, "We are not afraid anymore." How to Build Confidence in the Student with LDs
Great topic for back to school! Confidence for overcoming school challenges is a vital issue for the student who has some sort of learning problem. First, one must start with the right identity or self concept. Then one must say, enunciate positive confessions (both good self-talk and appropriate words in social context.) This is fundamental. Almost always, the process of diagnosis and the school situation gives the bright student the idea that he or she is stupid. From that perspective, they do not find the solutions for overcoming that they need. Faith, here, finds the grace available. Teaching What to Think or How to Think?
It used to be a rallying cry in education that we should teach students how to think rather than what to think. Looks like it was honored in the breach, doesn't it? When educators today do attempt to teach thinking skills, it is called "critical thinking." Why not analytical and synthetic thinking? Analytical thinking could sort through claims to find which are true/factual. Synthetic could build arguments and create in whatever topic area. Critical thinking sounds negative. It sounds destructive. It sounds anti-traditional. It sounds like "critical race theory." All of that is for good reason -- it is. "Critical thinking" was supposed to be superior to traditional thinking that merely accepted what was taught. It is a synonym for more sophisticated, less moral and less traditional thinking. Unfortunately, many people learned this anti-God content, pride, and a false sense themselves as sophisticated in college -- and then promptly stopped learning, or continuing to critique what they were taught, and indeed maybe stopped cognizing at all! Maybe that is harsh? Check out the sophomoric discussions of undergrads in the coffee house. Worst of all, plainly, it was teaching what to think. And the results have not been good. Not for anyone. Take a look at the resources for teaching "critical thinking skills" that come, unbidden, into faculty mailboxes and you will find an anti-traditional, anti-God bias. However, good I find that good logic skills can often be used in arguing for God and evangelism. Logic, as contrasted with "critical thinking" should be taught, and used -- practiced in practical ways. It is up to you parents to teach thinking skills. I doubt that a title "Logic" would be appealing except to a few parents home school in the classical method. Good titles are important. Feel free to suggest some. Next week, we will begin a teach-in on thinking skills and statistics for citizens applied to the current concern. Nearly everyone's attention is STILL on the subject. There is considerable doubling down on lies and malfeasance and a nascent uprising of informed citizens. Hope you find this helpful. Please share.

Things to Do in the Summer with Children
July is already ending. Some of us are realizing that we haven't done what we wanted to do with the kids this summer. Others are running out of ideas. LOL Anyway, the episodes that I share about activities are always popular, so I'll include one or two now. Just having fun is of real value for children who are drilled mercilessly on their weaknesses during school-time. Use the summer as fun time, and some of that fun can be very educative. Further their strengths. Do something multi-sensory and non-school-like that strengthens the deficits. Rythmn. Ordering. Coordination. Just don't make it like school. Learning and school are NOT synonymous. IDEA FOR IMPORTANT FUN LESSONS There are some learning opportunities, however, outside of school, that I think we really need to focus on providing. What I hear on the news media is maddening. Obviously, people have lost their reasoning powers. Or else, and more likely as the Bible says, some "are deceiving and being deceived." It is evident that the accusations are projections, and the propaganda is an exact inversion of the truth. Please sign up for announcements and get our document "Twenty Questions to Ask Yourself to Tell What is True in All Circumstances." We don't share your info; we don't sell your info; and we don't send it out fast. (And I won't send it out to any no-name strange email. It has to look real.) Critical thinking exercises and even direct lessons on logic could be some summertime fun, too. Unless your child is privately educated, then he or she is almost certainly not getting logic lessons at school. My parents' direct teaching on how to deconstruct advertising we very helpful. Obviously, most parents are teaching their children these things because lying advertising continues --- because it makes money. Today, lessons in how to avoid distractions is even more important than in those days. When I was young the conversation was how horrible it was to advertise sugary boxed cereals during the Saturday morning children's programming. So, I was never attracted or distracted by that sort of advertisement. I was, by contrast, impressed with the Olympic athletes on the Wheaties box. Hmm.... an implicit inference that Wheaties was more healthful than.... some other cereal. Are you having these conversations with your children? Now, these sorts of inferences, along with outright lies are coming directly from what purports to be authoritative sources. Simple math. Basic statistics. Common sense would eradicate such fear mongering genocidal assault. Are you confused? Do you need help in how to teach your child? Let me know. In the mean time, sign up for our Tribe or Pride. Get ready for the coming school year. Oh, sorry. No, enjoy your summer.

How to Get Prayers Answered
Third in our series on healing. Nearly everyone needs a healing. Here we have lots of mothers who are praying for healing for their children. Among the grandparent generation, healing is top priority, top of mind. So far, we have established that healing is in the atonement. So, it is not a matter of getting God to heal us, but to receive the healing that he has already provided. Firstly, people seem not to know that healing is available. Often, when they first find out, they see miraculous recoveries. Then, for those who have known for many years, after some disappointments, some doubts creep in. So, more than the basic announcement is needed at that point. Next we need to see what blocks healing. There are some things, and we will see those right from Scripture today. Jems 4 God does what you and especially your child healed. Your offspring shall be taught of the Lord, and great shall be, (strongly: shall be), their shalom, their total well-being. Isaiah 54:13
