Is Fear of LOSS Keeping You From Something Better?
Our decision to homeschool our kids is one we thought about for months! We knew it was something we were drawn to. More freedom as a family, and the ability to teach our kids skills we know they’ll need as adults. I (Brianne) just had these feelings of worry, and fear that were keeping me from fully committing for a while because having the kids go to school was familiar, and homeschool was not. I had fear around things the kids would lose, without honestly weighing what they would GAIN! We hope you enjoy this chat around homeschooling, and how we’re learning to let go of what is good and familiar, for what is great! For what I feel is meant for us in this season of our family’s life! YOU Are Responsible for Your Energy, Not Your Spouse
How do you  want to FEEL when you wake up every morning? As we’re learning and growing, and making daily deposits towards our goals, at the end of the day it's a feeling we’re after. You  want to be happy, proud, confident…and you can tap into those feelings anytime we want because YOU create them. In this episode, Danny and I are talking about a recent conversation we heard between Lori Harder and Brendan Burchard on her podcast, Earn Your Happy, about how we are all responsible for our own energy. The energy we bring into our relationships, our work, and we live our lives in the energy that we choose to generate. So make it GOOD energy! Listen in as we talk about creating the energy we want to have, and why it’s not your spouse's responsibility to make you happy!   Resources + Links:   Follow Danny on Instagram | @thegooddanny   Follow Brianne on Instagram | @briannehoefelmann   Check out The Good in Media | @thegoodinmedia

We’re excited to have this conversation to look back on at the end of the year, and bring you along for the journey as we get married again, chatter some glass ceilings we’ve been bumping into for a while, figure out how to homeschool, and EMBODY people who are healthy and wealthy! The Golden Rule (For Yourself) | T.G.I.T. E007
We're all familiar with the "Golden Rule," treat others how you want to be treated. But do we treat ourselves like that? Do you treat yourself the way you wish others would treat you or the way you wish others would treat someone you love? Sometimes we can be really hard on ourselves. On this episode, I'm talking about a lesson I learned from my wife on how to talk to yourself in a way that actually builds you up! How would you talk to a loved one if they were struggling? What would you say to your daughter if she was telling herself she didn't like the way she looked? What would you say to your best friend if they told you they sucked at literally everything? More than likely, you'd make sure they knew that those things weren't actually true. You'd remind them where they are in their journey and to keep going. It's easy for most of us to see the "awesome" in other people. This week, I challenge you to look for it in yourself! Thank you so much for listening! Life Isn't In Your Control | T.G.I.T. E004
Today I'm talking about why I believe we'd all be better off if we would acknowledge that we aren't in control. There are things that we can control but we never know what life is going to throw at us. I go into what life was like when I got laid off and the lessons that it taught me: - We are capable of more than we think if we don't fight it and embrace being out of our comfort zones. - What we tie our identities to can make us or break us. Happiness Is A Skill | The Good In Today
There are a lot of things out there in the world today that claim they'll bring you happiness. Most of them are complete B.S.  Today I want to talk about what happiness even is and how we all try to get it. I have a personal belief that happiness is a skill. There are certain things that we can each do every single day that are proven to increase your level of happiness. Most of them are so simple that a lot of us overlook them. I read a book a few years ago that changed the way I looked at the subject. It is partially what inspired this podcast. That book was "The Happiness Advantage" by Shawn Achor. In it, he talks about some of the different steps that we can each take every day and things that we can easily implement to improve our lives. We can obviously improve on our ability to complete those tasks. Hence, I believe happiness is a skill. Let me know what your feeling are on the subject and if you have anything to add to the conversation! Find me on Instagram: @TheGoodHoff https://www.instagram.com/thegoodhoff
