Ep. 32 - Behold The Pale Horse - Josey Quinn
“The Pale Horse” Josey Quinn joins the Gimmick Table, to provide an insight into the Georgia wrestling scene and how the recent years have seen Georgia wrestling blend the old school and new school. He shares how his son questions why he wasn’t a pro wrestler inspired him to go out and lives his dream. He discusses his two-year search for a school finally lead him to One Fall Power Factory, training underneath QT Marshall and Raymond Lloyd. How it was like starting from scratch having to forget everything he already learned. Comparing his confidence before his very first match opposed to having his first match after starting his training at One Fall Power Factory. His gives some sound advice on why finding a good school is an initial investment in themselves and how important it is to educate yourself on the schools out there. He elaborates more on the great and positive experience he has had at One Fall Power Factory from the seminars featuring some of the best minds in wrestling to the upcoming American Dream Scholarship coming to the school. To hone is in-ring skills, he attributes the school moving into the Chip Smith Performance Center and attests that there is no better facility outside of the WWE Performance Center to help give a pro wrestling the edge to the best they can. This plus the experience of his trainers have allowed him to develop a blend a mix of his brawling style and the strike exchanges of the new school style. Transition to discussing how in-ring skill is not enough to get over in the pro wrestling with a multitude of platforms. The importance of branding shown that has created a lucrative business outside of the mainstream. Before looking at enhancing his gimmick, the opportunity to work with actors and the impact the improv class had on developing promos. All quickly turning into a conversation about what MMA fights would fare well in the world of wrestling. Josey gives a quick look at The Pale Horse and the inspiration that came from a Johnny Cash song. The Gimmick Table return from the first ever week hiatus with their first ever cannabis athlete when "The Half-Baked Kid" Kris Chambers sits down to discuss his 15-plus year journey through professional wrestling. But before the wrestling talks begin, the three discuss what it means to be a cannabis athlete and our host give the thoughts on the cannabis case and more.  Then Kris reflects with our host on he knew from the moment he first saw pro wrestling, he knew that it was what he wanted to do with his life. The dedications he gave from the very start traveling 3-hours each day by bus to train for two hours followed by another 3-hours bus ride home.
