1.8 A Clockwork Monday
They said that Garfield would never end, and they were right. But John and Philip have at least caught up to the current year of Garfield, so it’s the end of Season 1. They’ve been on quite a journey, and learned a lot. They’ve read a lot of bad Garfield, but also some good Garfield. 2019 was bad Garfield. The hosts talk about the Porteguese production of a Garfeild musical, and the increasing topicality of Garfield. Philip hoped to have little a lasagna as a treat, and spends much of the episode ping ponging around. John was sad to see the absence of the Daisy costume, and once again had to go to bat for Broccoli. The year, as I said, was bad. Even by his normal standards, Jim Davis showed some real contempt for women this year. He also made it very clear that Garfield wants to cuck Jon, which is a weird direction for the comic to go in, but not an unexpected one. Today’s Box O’ Fun is a discussion about what season 2 will be. We’ve already pretty much decided, but will be putting a poll up anyway. Isn’t democracy wonderful? This’ll be the last episode for a while, but you can currently catch us every Thursday evening doing Late Night With The GarFiles, on twitch.

1.7 Harold And Kumar Go To Monday
John and Philip are back, and ready to talk about 2018 in Garfield. This time the show starts without a hitch, and certainly with no japes or jokes of any kind! No tricks which could fool you. Hoho! 2018 was a year, and we’re heroes for reading it. Philip hated it, but John quite liked it; turns out that two people are capable of having different tastes, even in Garfield. We talk about how Davis finally figured out how to draw sunglasses, the Winky face of the year, and how Jim Davis is writing all this just for Phi...John. This year also contains the best comic we’ve seen so far, one (1) which is actually really good. A single good comic. In 7 years. John coins “Garlene” as the Garfield/Arlene ship name. That’s fun. We’re not destroying ourselves by reading Garfield. In today’s Box O’ Fun, we talk about a bunch of the Flash Games on the Garfield Website. Some good, some bad, some complete bullshit, some not actually games. We also made some comics using the Official Garfield Comic Creator. If you want to see them, then check out the blog post, which I promise will be up by next Monday, along with all of the other blog posts which I’ve neglected to do. Sorry. If you make any of your own comics, please send them to us, at the places below. Our Box O Fun for next week is future memories.

1.6 12 Angry Mondays
If you thought that last episode had a good opening, then you'll probably like this one too. This time it’s Philip who caused it. We dont dwell on our mistakes however, and quickly get down to the business of the podcast. That’s right, cats corner is back, and it’s not going anywhere. We also talk about Garfield, our risk of being excommunicated by Jim Davis, and the horrible eventuality of Jon and Liz getting married in a Binky Burger. Don’t think it’s all just speculation and jokes. John did some deep investigation into the structure of Paws Inc, and Philip breaks out some Garfield Deep Lore to explain what’s going on with Mondays. Also John gets really defensive about Broccoli at one point, like really defensive. I had never even considered that someone would care this much about Broccoli. In today’s Box O Fun, we finally play and talk about Scary Scavenger Hunt. A flash game on the Garfield website, which Philip played as a stupid child. It’s pretty fun, a classic point and click type thing with some neat tricks, and a bunch of issues. Our Box O Fun for next week is Scary Scavenger Hunt 2, a flash game on the Garfield website, and also a bunch of other flash games on the Garfield website.

1.5 Jurassic Monday
This episode features our very best opening yet; you get to hear John pay for his hubris as it happens. We also make early reference to “Crab Town”, which is actually what I called my Animal Crossing Island. Anyone else playing New Horizons? Hit me up. This episode, Philip and John are talking about 2016 of Garfield, which was a … different year. Some would say it’s the strangest year, others would just say that it made them feel empty. The hosts have questions this year, like what’s going on with Liz? Which is her true self, “Stepford Liz” or “The Lazy Sadist and the Pain Pig”? And why would you ever put effort into your food, when you can just say “Let’s just do flour”? In today’s Box O Fun, we talk about “Garfield - Caught in the Act”, a Sega game about Garfield, for which Jim Davis might have drawn the sprites. We played the game through sneaky, criminal methods, but we did not play it for very long, because the game is pretty hard. Thankfully, we also watched an AGDQ speedrun of it, so we saw all of the game. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see Jon’s skeleton, which we wanted to see. Our Box O Fun for next week is “Scary Scavenger Hunt”, a flash game on the Garfield website. We say it will be watching a cat, but that will be later revealed to be a lie.

Uh oh, here they are again, the three hosts; John, Philip, and the Traffic. We’re taking the opening of this show in a bold new direction, and fully expect to win an award for it. Tales are told of “Philip Rodger’s Very Very Bad Evening”, and “John McInnes’s Figurative Vietnam Helicopter”, but eventually we have to get to the year of Garfield. 2015 was a year of high highs, incredibly low lows, and a sucky inbetween. As always, it’s chock full of Jimfield, and horrible lazy writing; but there’s also some surprisingly creative stuff here, and the first confirmation in decades that Jon is a cartoonist. It’s mostly bad though, Philip gets angrier about a comic than he ever has before, and John is forced to explain the concept of Black Pilling. In today’s Box O’ Fun, we talk about Cats (2019), and also about Cats (1998). Philip pulled a fast one on John by watching two versions of Cats, and also by becoming a big fan of Cats. Neither of us expected that to happen. We talk about whether Garfield would be a Jellicle Cat, making best use of the media form you’re in, and the weird anti-chinese sentiments of the theatre show. To see Philip's fantastic meme about Mister Mistoffelees, have a look at our twitter. Also on the blog, when I actually get that sorted out. I haven’t as of yet. Our Box O’ Fun for next week is “Garfield - Caught in the Act”, both the 1995 Sega game, and a Speedrun of it from AGDQ.

1.3 Silence Of The Mondays
We return, now with a newfound confidence in the name of the Podcast. John is ill, Philip is sad, John is also sad, and on top of that we had to read the Garfield comics from 2014, or else Philip will never get a Scottish Visa. In this episode we’re bringing you complaints about the Graphical Direction of Garfield and its bullshit apolitical stance. Also there’s...Philip’s Big Theory...and a discussion of the true nature of Jon, the man, the monster. In today’s Box O Fun, we talk about Garfield 2 A Tale of 2 Kitties. This may surprise you, but we didn’t like that either. We have...Philip’s Big Theory 2 This One’s About Garfield 2 A Tale of 2 Kitties...and a whole lot of talking about the flaws of this film, and how it could have been better. In particular, John highlights the one scene which could have saved it. Seriously though, don’t watch the film, not even for a joke. Please. Our Box O Fun for next week is Cats (2019).

1.2 Citizen Monday
Philip & John return, this time reading the Garfield Comics of 2013, the Depression Year. We battle through panic attacks, and the constant intrusions of police sirens to bring you the hot content you desire. What content, you ask? Well we (John) come up with a name for the very worst type of Garfield comic; we revisit a discussion from last week, just so Philip can say a joke he forgot to say at the time; we celebrate the return of Irma, and the Peter Gabriel Flower Costume; and we express sympathy for Jim Davis’s daughter, Ashley Davis. In the second segment, we talk about some episodes of the TV show “Garfield and Friends”. These being Episodes 2 & 12 from Series 1. We really liked “Box O’ Fun”, so much so that we decided to name the segment after it. However we hated Buddy the Bear. We all hate Buddy the Bear.

1.1 The Big Monday
Let the grand experiment begin! Philip & John have begun to read every Garfield from 2012 until the present day. Their core questions - does Jim Davis want to live anymore? Is Jon Arbuckle a big Peter Gabriel fan? What happened to Lyman?
