There’s a lot of controversy surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 at the moment. So Nic takes this opportunity to speak to J (someone who has completed his first playthrough of the game) to clarify how bad exactly the Series X version is from his perspective. In the meantime, Nic platinumed Ghost of Tsushima, and we go through the games to keep an eye on revealed at the Game Awards.

A lot of you out there are waiting for something. Waiting for something which you thought was inevitable, and yet, it disappeared from your reach over and over. Until now, where a few days from writing, J, and millions of you around the world will finally play... Cyberpunk 2077.

The next-gen is officially the worst next-gen console launch of all-time. We discuss the latest alongside more cyberpunk (surprise surprise) and valhalla. Death to all ye oppose.

An exciting time my friends. J gives us his first impressions of the Series X and Valhalla, and we discuss the, frankly, ancient games that Nic has been playing in the meantime. Question is, has the hype already gone for next-gen?

For better or worse, Nic didn’t get a Series X, and it isn’t looking like he’ll get one before Christmas. But that’s okay. And even better, the Mass Effect remaster finally got announced. Rejoice for J as he plays the most anticipated games of the year in the next few weeks on his brand new Xbox and his new TV he’s worked hard to have at launch!

As J and Nic experience the mess that is this next-generation launch, we ponder which games to play to bridge the gap. We also remember the generation we’re now, perhaps in a bittersweet moment, coming to the end of.

The impossible has happened. Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed...again. Now, we ponder what the reality of November 10th (Xbox Day) looks like for J and Nic, alongside realising just how strong the 360/PS3 generation was as we look back on the best games of that generation. Valhalla is now the key launch title, but will we get a Series X before Xmas? See what I did there…

Nic’s laptop broke, or so he thought, hence the delay in show N0. 30. Still some interesting news stories to discuss as we patiently wait for the launch of next-gen and decide what we want to play in the meantime.

J and Nic go through more NEWS stories this week than a sheep eats grass, but that’s okay ladies and gentlemen because we take some time out to remember one of the most important game consoles of all-time. The original, the first, the one that began it all (kind of). The PlayStation.

There is still a lot of uncertainty around pre-orders for next-gen at the moment. So while we ponder from the sidelines and talk about what our next few weeks will look like gaming wise, J and Nic discuss memorable launch titles. Which, I’ve gotta be honest, is an awesome topic.

BIGGEST. NEWS. EVER. Xbox bought Zenimax Media, and we think a lot about next-gen and what we want/need from it. Exciting times my friends.

BOY did we have a lot to talk about this week. We FINALLY know the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 prices and release dates, though there is much skepticism on the PS5 pre-order front. There was a Ubisoft Forward in addition to that, a PS5 event, and, well you get the idea.

J is playing the endgame of Avengers as we speak, and that is a fascinating topic to discuss. We did miss a couple of things last week but fortunately, we can quickly discuss some important news whenever it drops (or if we forget) because this weekly show is in fact, weekly.
