Frequency Episode 1.11: Negative Copy
Brace yourself for lots of time travel twists and turns, because the reality you know may soon be nothing more than a Negative Copy. The disastrous turns at the end of the last episode have left Frank with a lot of explaining to do, and Raimey facing possible jail time! But just when it looks like reality might come crashing down in both 1996 and 2016, things get… fluid. Time travel nerds rejoice, because Frequency finally remembers that it’s a time travel show this time out, and temporal mechanics take center stage in an episode packed with action, story and character development. Julie takes a more active role in Frank’s plans, Raimey finds an unexpected savior in Gordo Sr., and the curtain is finally pulled back on just what the hell is going on with Satch and Stan. And at the eye of the timey-wimey maelstrom, the Nightingale lies in wait. This episodes takes many big leaps, but are they all in the right direction? Listen as hosts Jessie Neumann and Christopher DeFilippis ponder — and prognosticate! SHOW RUNDOWN COMING SOON Leave us a voicemail at (707) 847-6682. Frequency Episode 1.6: Deviation
Move over Raimy and Frank; you may not be the only time talkers in town. How’s that for a Deviation? This time on the Frequency TV Podcast, hosts Jessie Neumann and Christopher DeFilippis attempt to avoid the branching tangles of this problematic episode and cut it off at the trunk! The hunt for the Nightingale is heating up. Just days away from the next murder Frank and Raimy decide to focus all their efforts on flushing the killer out in 1996 — through his next victim. But in 2016, Raimy is beset by complications. In the midst of her hunt for the Nightingale, she keeps unexpectedly running into Daniel; she is also contacted by a mysterious man who promises that he can help her stop the Nightingale — because he talks to himself in the future! Enter an interesting guest star turn by legendary character actor Curtis Armstrong. We’ll discuss what works — and what doesn’t — in this new time travel development. We’re also thrilled to bring you an interview with Julie Sullivan herself, actress Devin Kelley! Frequency TV Podcast co-executive producer Albie Burdge spoke with Devin about her life in acting, how she landed the role of Julie Sullivan, and what it’s like to be on the set of the hit CW series. Along the way Devin talks about some of the odder practical aspects of working on a time travel show, and gives a fascinating insight into the background of her charater Julie and how she approaches the role. And be sure to stick around for more of Jessie’s brain-twisting time travel theories, listener feedback and more! SHOW RUNDOWN COMING SOON Leave us a voicemail at (707)847-6682. Frequency Episode 1.5: Seven Three
Polish your police badges and send the Nightingale Storyline a big Seven Three! it’s time for training day, Frequency style! On this episode of the Frequency TV Podcast, hosts Jessie Neumann and Christopher DeFilippis discuss the fifth episode of The CW’s unique new time travel show. When Raimy catches a homicide investigation, she realizes that she’s seen the victim before. She came across the same body–killed the same way, in the same apartment–during her original history training day. And her training officer was Stan Marino! In the altered history, she and Frank rode out together on her first day–and discovered another body in the same apartment–somehow tied to Stan’s underhanded activities. Raimy is now convinced that she can use her memories of both histories to dig into Stan’s dirty dealings, and somehow expose him as a criminal. Join us as we examine this unique episode–which is a departure for the show, as it focuses mainly on police work and character relationships–with very little time travel in sight! You know, unless you count that it plays out in two separate timelines… And before you say Seven Three, stick around for some great listener feedback. SHOW RUNDOWN COMING SOON! Frequency Episode 1.4: Bleed Over
Focus your signals, because we’re getting some Bleed Over! On this episode of the Frequency TV Podcast, hosts Jessie Neumann and Christopher DeFilippis discuss the fourth episode of The CW’s unique new time travel show. Frank and Raimy get a concrete lead on the Nightingale Killer – in the form of Eva Salinas. In 1996, young Eva saw the Nightingale when he abducted her mother. Fast forward to 2016, and adult Eva claims that she had been kidnapped by Nightingale herself – and escaped! Frank and Raimy jump into action – but emotions are running high. In dealing with Eva and the death of her mother, both Frank and Raimy are uncomfortably reminded that Julie may soon share a similar fate. Join us as we delve deep into the complex character interactions and motivations in this poignant episode. And if that sounds too heavy, this show could also qualify as a massive Gordo lovefest. And stick around for listener feedback, Japanese prayer bells, and a special announcement! (HINT: People are talking… to US!) SHOW RUNDOWN COMING SOON! Leave us a voicemail at (707)847-6682.
