It's a sad time of year around Cedarwood Tavern as we wrap up the 2021 high school football season in Cherokee County. Von and Art spend some time talking about the two games last week as they caught up with Coach Williams and Coach Shaw. We also take a look ahead to next season with some players to watch around the county. It's playoff time for high school football in the state of Georgia and we have a big show this week. We thought that the interview with Jerry Don could stand on its own. Art also had some comments that he wanted to make around the Valdosta documentary being released today. The question I will ask anyone coaching or wanting to coach high school or youth sports: are you in it so everyone can see how great and how smart you are or are you in it to impact lives in a positive way...(the latter can be done regardless of your winning percentage as a coach) So perhaps we should evaluate what and who we glorify.
