When you look at the mindset or the habits of an athlete, putting their sporting ability aside, they're no different to you or I. Think about it, most people in the gym are striving somewhat to achieve the physique similar to that of an athlete. It may be someone you've looked up to or idolised, or it could simply be wanting to increase the amount of lean muscle tissue you have and lose enough body fat to achieve the definition and shape.
