4 - Greatest Past Prime Performances
On this Fistorial Perspective, we're talking about a topic close to our hearts, sharing stories of some of boxing's best post-prime performances.  There are few things worse than watching a beloved fighter continue to battle after his time is up, when he can't find the speed and agility that made him so great in his youth. But out of those dire circumstances, some of boxing's most inspiring moments are born. Erik Morales was brought in to lose to Marcos Maidana. Michael Carbajal was paid to pad the record of Jorge Arce. Jhonny Gonzalez was never meant to beat Abner Mares.  Skilled veterans relying on craft, experience, and knowledge to teach hot-shot youngsters a lesson. These last stands may not be what the promoters had in mind when they booked the fights, but they comprise some of our favorite pugilistic memories.  Download the episode here, or subscribe to the show on iTunes.

3 - Salvador Sanchez vs Ernesto Marcel
On this episode of The Fistorical Perspective, we're talking about two of the featherweight division's greatest champions, both of whom left the sport at the peak of their powers.  We compare Salvador Sanchez, who tragically died just over 33 years ago at the age of 23, to Ernesto Marcel, who retired on the heels of a great win over Alexis Arguello. Who was better, and why? We compare the competition these two men faced, and ask whether we can truly stack them up against other great featherweights who, for whatever reason, managed to compete after their primes had passed and still put on great performances.  You can download this episode directly from this page, or feel free to subscribe to The Fistorical Perspective on iTunes.

2 - Ranking the Fab Four (Duran, Leonard, Hagler, and Hearns)
Today, Kyle and Connor look back at the Fab Four--Roberto Duran, "Sugar" Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, and Marvin Hagler--who dominated the sport in the 70s and 80s.  Not only do your intrepid hosts discuss these four pillars of pugilism, but they rank them as well, answering once and for all that immortal question: who was the greatest? Hint: it's Duran.  Also up for discussion are some of the Fab Four's most underrated fights. Have you seen the veteran Roberto Duran take apart young puncher Davey Moore? How about Ray Leonard's contest with awkward southpaw Ayub Kalule? These and more are discussed in-depth on this brand new Fistorical Perspective.  Enjoy the show!
