Part 2: Education Beyond the Classroom
Ten percent of children in Kentucky suffer from asthma, so for the educators of Teach Kentucky, the fight for cleaner Louisville air means healthier, happier lives for the students they love. On Saturday, February 2, 2019, Teach Kentucky, along with everyday people everywhere, will be partnering with the American Lung Association to raise awareness for how we make Kentucky a better place to breathe. The Fight for Air Climb, a fundraising event held in skyscrapers all over the nation, challenges teams of passionate participants to show their support for those suffering from lung disease by climbing 38 flights of stairs. In this second episode of the Fight for Air Podcast, you’ll hear what is driving Teach Kentucky educators to make the Climb in February and how Louisville’s community continues to inspire them to participate year after year! Join us for practice every Saturday morning at 9am, at the Hyatt Hotel on 4th Street. To register for the climb visit www.ClimbLouisville.org.
