Episode 9: I’ll At Least Glare
Last time, Our Heroine, Georgiana Galloway, returned home after a mysterious, uncomfortable, and thoroughly disconcerting trip through an enchanted map to a local jewelry store. There, she witnessed a dandy of the first class – and a werewolf client – Cornelius van Vinkbooms purchasing 13 rubies of quite high quality, along with a pair of extremely gaudy cufflinks. He was clearly working on behalf of the insidious, puzzling doctor – but what were they all playing at? Back at home, another mystery surfaced in the form of a bouquet of flowers. A spinster like Gigi certainly can’t expect to be courted at the ripe old age of thirty, so what on earth could such a delivery mean? You, the listeners, decided that the bouquet should contain an invitation to tea from Sir Benjamin. Well, that should certainly be interesting… And of course, don’t forget to vote on what happens next! Episode 8: Only a Mere Jewel Heist
Last time, in Episode 7, Our Heroine, Georgiana Galloway, and her intrepid siblings decided to get up to some mischief in the form of dispatching Frances the alchemist to uncover what, precisely, Sir Benjamin and the mystery doctor wanted done. Best to take a proactive approach, as Frances always says…particularly when you’re in possession of some reasonably stable explosives and a listening device. just in case. Georgiana, meanwhile, attempted to investigate the map she managed to steal from Sir Benjamin’s study – only to be somehow sucked inside it and then spat out in the first location listed on the accompanying note. After the episode, you, the listeners, decided where that first location on the map led – and thus, where Georgiana suddenly found herself. And thank goodness, you actually agreed this time – those multi-way ties were becoming even more of a challenge than preventing a brand-new lycanthrope from attempting to raid the neighbour’s townhouse for roast chicken at the full moon. Since the majority of you want Georgiana to find herself in a jeweler’s shop, let’s join her there, shall we? And of course, don’t forget to vote on what happens next! Episode 7: Nothing Out of the Ordinary There
Last time, in Episode 6, Our Heroine, Georgiana Galloway, had managed to return home to her siblings after being mistakenly kidnapped by Sir Benjamin and the mysterious man directing his actions. She managed to retrieve a scrap of paper which you, the listeners, determined was both a map and a letter…but what were the Galloways to do with the coded information now before them? And, perhaps more importantly, what were they to do about the fact that the nefarious doctor seemed intent on spiriting away their sibling Frances? After the episode, you, the listeners, decided how the siblings would take action. Well…sort of. This time around, you gave us a real challenge – a three-way tie! Apparently, you want everyone but poor Charlotte to get in on the action: Frances is determined to go undercover, Georgiana wants to pursue the map, and Liza intends to bug Sir Benjamin’s home. Let’s see how the siblings manage to get along with so much mischief to wreak… And of course, don’t forget to vote on what happens next! Episode 6: Hints, Half-Hints, and Whisperings
Last time, in Episode 5, Our Heroine, Georgiana Galloway, was trapped in Sir Benjamin Griffiths-Burnley’s master bedroom, working the feeling back into her abused limbs after being drugged and kidnapped. And she wasn’t even the intended victim! A haughty, overbearing mechanical mystery man was truly in charge, demanding that Sir Benjamin rectify his careless error and bring him Frances, Georgiana’s alchemist sibling and the true target of their nefarious plot. When Benjamin left to arrange for Frances to be lured to his townhouse and captured, Georgiana seized the moment to sneak into his private study and attempt escape. But her plans were cut short when the mechanical man—actually a flesh-and-blood human on the other end of a fantastical speaking device—caught her out and raised the alarm. Just before she plunged out a waiting window, Georgiana was able to grab a paper up from Sir Benjamin’s table. After the episode, you, the listeners, decided what that paper was…or, rather, you voted to a tie! Well now. We can’t very well disappoint you when it comes to choosing your own adventure, can we? Let’s see how Georgiana deals with the aftermath of her misadventures…and what happens when you can’t decide whether she’s got a map or a letter in her hand… And of course, don’t forget to vote on what happens next! Episode 5: Anything But Delirious
Last time, on Episode 4, Our Heroine, Miss Georgiana Galloway, had just managed to complete a tiring session with a pair of irritating new clients when she was accosted by an even more irritating client, debonair werewolf-about-town Sir Benjamin Griffiths-Burnley. The cad had the unmitigated gall to drug and kidnap Georgiana, leaving her paralysed in his bed while he very rudely spoke about her behind her back with an unknown doctor…one with a distressingly mechanical voice. As Georgiana listened in – it wasn’t anything so gauche and unladylike as eavesdropping, mind you, and besides, they poisoned her first! – she discovered that the pair had some sort of plan to employ her. And she didn’t think it was for lycanthrope-proofing a newly acquired country home. Yet as bad as it all seemed, everything took a turn for the worse when the mysterious mechanical doctor discovered which Galloway, precisely, Sir Benjamin had kidnapped. You see, it appeared he abducted the wrong one… After the episode, you, the listeners, decided which of Georgiana’s siblings was the true target of the pair’s fiendish scheme. Let’s find out which Galloway is in danger now… And, of course, don’t forget to vote on what happens next! Episode 4: A Concerning Lack of Organisation
Last time, on Episode 3, Our Heroine, Miss Georgiana Galloway, was running late, tired and frustrated from a long day of failing to successfully blackmail anyone into clearing away her ne’er-do-well father’s massive debts. She was confronted at her door by Harald, her late mother’s raven familiar, back from some enigmatic errand and looking much the worse for wear. Knowing the futility of interrogating a bird, Georgiana carried on with her appointments and took tea with the Westbrooks, a new pair of clients eager to ensure that their little problem with turning into ravening wolves at the full moon didn’t hinder their attempts to mingle with high society. Alas, she wasn’t to be granted a quiet evening at home after all that fuss. From the shadows of her carriage, another wolfish client, Sir Benjamin Griffiths-Burnley, loomed, threatening her with a war of reputations. And that was him playing nice… After the episode, you, the listeners, decided where poor Georgiana would come to after Sir Benjamin’s attack. Let’s see where he’s taken her…. And, of course, don’t forget to vote on what happens next! Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.

Episode 3: Getting the Pleasantries Out of the Way
Last time, in Episode 2, Our Heroine, Miss Georgiana Galloway, was hurtling out the door on her way to meet her newest clients, the well-to-do but unfortunately afflicted Westbrooks. The poor dears suffer from a terribly unseemly condition: lycanthropy. And it is Miss Galloway’s calling to ensure that they do not experience the indignity of sprouting fur, claws, and teeth upon the full of the moon in five days’ time. Thankfully, it’s a fairly lucrative calling, as Georgiana’s attempts to blackmail her other clients in order to pay down her father’s obscene debts have, thus far, met with no success… After the last episode, you, the listeners, decided that the interloper blocking Georgiana’s path out the door and off to meet the Westbrooks for tea was a rather bedraggled-looking raven. Oh dear, that’s a bit of an odd visitor indeed. No wonder it stopped Georgiana in her tracks! Let’s see how she’s getting on, shall we? And of course, don’t forget to vote for the twist at the end of the episode! Where does Georgiana come to?

Episode 2: A Notoriously Fickle Enterprise
Last time, in Episode 1, we met Miss Georgiana Galloway, a lovely young – or at least young-ish – lady embarking upon producing her first phonodrama. And that phonodrama, naturally, was the story of her own life and career. Or dual career, as the case may be. For you see, Miss Galloway manages not one, but two family enterprises. One of which is now tasked with the unenviable challenge of discharging her absent father’s outrageous debts through means of blackmail. After the last episode, you, the listeners, decided what Georgiana’s clandestine family business would be: Ensuring that little inconveniences like the habit of spontaneously turning into a canine creature would go unnoticed by proper society. Let’s tune in to see how Georgiana is managing things… And of course, don’t forget to vote for the twist at the end of the episode!

Series 1 Trailer: A Pre-Series Aperitif
Welcome back, dear listeners! After a long hiatus, we’re back…and better than ever! A little background. The Fiction League was originally launched as a joint project of Fat Green Chicken Studios and Bigfella Machine Productions as a way to bring together a bunch of madcap storytellers and performers with a crazy idea: Creating a work of serial audio fiction that would call on audience participation as the reckless love child of tabletop gaming, choose-your-own-adventure books, and serial pulp fiction. We initially launched with a series of short classic pulp stories to test the polling mechanism and just get our feet under us. And then life intervened. It’s finally time to come back to the League and this time, we’re going all-in on that fundamental concept: Bringing you a new work of original fiction, tailored to listener responses each episode! We’ll be dropping a new episode every two weeks. Each installment finishes with a choice for the listeners to make. Come to www.thefictionleague.com to cast your vote; you’ll have one week to weigh in, and then we’ll close the poll, crack open the ol’ notebook, and get writing. The following week, like magic, there will be a new episode that you helped shape. Sound good? Then tune in for Series 1, Episode 1: An Infelicitous Introduction, coming soon to a podcatcher near you!
