Her name is "Gay" but she is not. She opens up about her politically incorrect father, meeting Scott's dad in the 1950s, her husband's death and being a single mother of two gay sons, the heartbreaking loss of her oldest son to AIDS in 1991, and how the birth of her grandkids saved her life and gave it new meaning.

David Marabella, Scott's friend of more than 28 years, stops by to tell us about the FABULOUS organization known as Little Red Hen in Chico, California. We talk a little about Scott and David's long friendship and his stalker/fatal attraction. It's a lot of fun and we are super proud of David and the FABULOUS Little Red Hen organization. Little Red Hen is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization serving children and adults with developmental disabilities. Their Five Chico Retail locations provide employment that is not a subminimum wage. Their retail and horticulture departments employ 150+ developmentally disabled adults, supported through the sales of items. 100% of our sales/donations benefit quality programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities like Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and other cognitive disabilities. This week we are joined by the FABULOUS Adam MacLean of PostShame.org. Adam is extremely busy and we are so happy and honored that he took the time to have an in-depth discussion about owning your shame (whatever it may be), ways to fix my white legs, AIDS research, anxiety and depression, and of course, dick pics! Yes, we talk openly and honestly about dick pics! It was a very informative and fun discussion! Warning: This is not an episode for children to listen to! Adam MacLean is the founder of PostShame.org, co-chair of the Abzyme Research Foundation working to #endHIV and on the board of Paul Taylor American Modern Dance. After graduating from Bard College in 2004 with a degree in dance he performed off-broadway for several years before becoming a concierge, personal assistant and now lifestyle consultant.  He currently helps high-profile individuals manage their personal lives in the areas of events, social media strategy, technology, travel, and philanthropy.  The causes he cares about most are finding ways to develop leadership through radical transparency and the erasure of shame, the effect of HIV/AIDS on the LGBTQ+ community, the development of chosen families, and critical dialogue about privilege and philanthropy. 

Welcome to the premiere episode of The Fabulous Podcast! We call it The Fabulous Podcast because, of course, WE are FABULOUS, and our guests are FABULOUS! Yes, we are both gay, but there is much, much more to this podcast. We are going to explore many subjects and topics, and we will interview FABULOUS people from all walks of life. In addition to hosting The Fabulous Podcast, Scott & Jimmy both have day jobs.  Scott is currently a full-time, stay-at-home dad to four kids, but also has many years of public relations and marketing experience. When he's not picking up toys or cleaning poop off the ceiling, he likes to dabble in website design, photography, and blogging. Jimmy is an accomplished communications and marketing professional and has worked on campaigns for Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Coach, and Gucci. After sixteen years in New York City, Jimmy made the move to San Francisco in the fall of 2017, accepting a position overseeing global publicity and engagement for Dockers, a Levis Strauss & Co. brand. In future episodes, we are looking forward to bringing you some very interesting guests who we believe are FABULOUS and have a story worth telling! We don’t have a particular theme in mind, we are not entirely an LGTBQ focused show, but our guests come from all walks of life. We are an all-inclusive talk podcast!
