At this stage in the building process all the trim and fine details work is completed. This is the last 10%. But its also the hardest. This is where the attention to detail matters. You should no longer have to fail your way forward. This is when having the right tool for the job can make life a lot easier for you. This is where you develop proven processes for getting the job done. This is the time for you to get really good at what you do. In construction and carpentry that can be crafting a unique jig or mount that allows you to build exactly, efficiently and effectively. This is where craftsmanship comes from. How are you crafting your life? What processes or jigs have you created and implemented in your business? Become the Expert, Master the CraftIn order to create these processes and hacks (for lack of a better term) you need to do your job willingly and with optimism. Doing your daily menial tasks with your head held high will broaden your perspective and reveal opportunities to improve at that job. And many others. But remember it is the attention to the small details that you must look closely at that will make you an expert or master of your craft. The little things matter. Especially at this stage. Those details are what separate the apprentice from the craftsman. And as you master one craft it will help you master others. At some point you may realize and understand the process of mastering a craft. Once you realize that, you will be in a perpetual state of learning. And constant awe. This will not only make you competent, but it will make you sought after. It will make you an expert. The more you are known as an expert at what you do, the more people will seek you out for it. Create a process and document it.As you do things repetitively you naturally learn tricks, techniques to make you more efficient, effective, and immaculate. Creating a jig for repetitive processes ensure quality and quantity. These and the specialty tools and equipment allow you to not just avoid failures and mistakes but hone your skills and refine your attention to detail. All these tools, tips and techniques take time to acquire and master, so it is just as important that you not only craft the process but take the time to document it. Documenting the process soon becomes necessary as you realize, the process is only as effective as it is given to others. The whole point of creating a process it to make the work easier and sustainable, that way anyone can do it. And once the process is created and documented, it must be continually tested and improved, as conditions change as resources change and needs change, updating and revising the process is just as necessary. What are some of the plans and processes you could implement and document that would further your cause or business?
