Redefining Happiness
More information at embracinghappy.com/12.   Today I am going to talk redefining happiness. Last week I gave a talk to a very engaged group of local entrepreneurs on happiness. Actually I talked about redefining happiness - because you may or may not know by now that I am on a mission to help redefine happiness.   If I were to ask what happiness means to you - would you be able to answer? Believe it or not, this question often stumps people because it can be really hard to define. Is it the feeling of pleasure? Is it a feeling or an emotion? I actually think it goes way beyond that.

Sex Gets Real
In this episode of the Embracing Happy Podcast, I talk with  Dawn Serra. Dawn is an erotic coach, courage mentor, body love facilitator, sham- slayer, (I love that, don't you?) If there's one thing Dawn is passionate about, it’s helping people shed their shame and find their courage to cultivate the relationships, sex life and confidence they deserve. Dawn specializes in radical transformations, encouraging her clients to try new things, think new thoughts and break the silence around their deepest desires and needs. She's healing the world by giving people a new framework in order to live vulnerably, authentically, passionately, and with ecstasy. She can be found at dawnserra.com and in addition to coaching, Dawn Serra's also the co-host of a weekly sex podcast called Sex Gets Real. Life Coach Yourself Happy
More information about this episode can be found at embracinghappy.com/10. So here’s the deal. Life coaching is the new black. You see life coaches all over the place and they make it seem like you can’t get to where you want to go without one. They come in all areas of expertise, work, money, relationships, health, nutrition, and even sex and they are making a difference - to those that can afford them.   I didn’t start talking about life coaching yourself because I don’t see the need for a coach, on the contrary, I think we all need and could use a life coach. I just happen to think the best life coach for us (that’s you and me) happens to be found from within. Take a listen.

Gratitude. Yes, It's Really That Important!
More information about this episode at embracinghappy.com/9.   While gratitude is a much talked about characteristic of a happier life, I still get questions from people who struggle to really implement it into their day.   There are all sorts of things out there to help remind us to be grateful. There are gratitude bracelets, quote decks and even gratitude planners. While I love all these tools, they really are there as support to your gratitude practice not necessarily as tool to encourage you to be more grateful. Before those tools can work, you must be living a truly grateful life.

When you stop judging the experience as a good or bad one, it becomes just an experience, a lesson to be learned. And we make the best decision, based on the information we have at the time. Does It Matter if You Are an Optimist or Pessimist?
More information about this episode can be found at embracinghappy.com/4.  Being happy and optimistic is an emotional muscle that needs to be exercised daily. It’s something that can improve over time, but it must be consciously noticed and worked on. Most people go through life just reacting. We are reacting to bad news, reacting to someone who started an argument and reacting to other bad situations.

Embracing Happy with Jessica Eley
More information about this episode can be found at embracinghappy.com/3 The only thing I love more than a good night's sleep is a good meal with family and friends. And that is why I loved hanging out with today's guest Jessica Eley. One of the things I love most about Jessica is how real she keeps it. She is a mom to two young kids and she gets that lives are busy and it's rare to have the time to create elaborate meals. But she believes you can eat good, healthy food and not have it break the budget or take all of your free time. She is also a big believer in family dinners as a way of keeping families together and happy. She provides practical advice, food templates that help create great food with what you have in your cupboard and will share some mindful eating tips. I hope you enjoy this episode of The Embracing Happy Podcast: A How-To Guide to Help Busy Families Enjoy Eating Their Best with Jessica Eley.
