Emancipated Living Podcast Episode 12: Interview With CEO and Business Coach Stephen Oliver
Stephen Oliver is a successful entrepreneur, CEO, and business coach with a 30-year track record of success. As a young man, he learned the nuts and bolts of running a successful business organization from his tae kwon do instructor and mentor Jhoon Rhee while working as a teacher and branch manager at his taekwondo institutes. After graduating from college and spending a year working at the Jhoon Rhee Institutes, Stephen moved to Denver, Colorado and with just $10,000 he opened 5 martial art schools in 18 months. He then grew those schools to more than 1,500 active clients and over $1,000,000 in revenue (that’s the equivalent of $2.1 million in today’s dollars). He holds a bachelors degree with honors from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. He is an 8th degree black belt under former world kickboxing champion Jeff Smith, and currently heads up Mile High Karate, an organization which franchises martial art schools in North America, Australia, and New Zealand. He is also the CEO of The National Association of Professional Martial Artists, an industry member association boasting thousands of members from all over the world. Not only is he an accomplished entrepreneur and CEO, he also has a great deal of experience in starting small businesses and in showing others how to do the same. If you’re interested in starting your own business and becoming a successful entrepreneur, you’d do well to listen to Stephen’s story and take notes on what he has to say about achieving success. The Emancipated Living Podcast Episode 11: The Affiliate Marketing Business Model
In this business model breakdown I’m going to cover the affiliate marketing business model. Affiliate marketing is a business model where you’re rewarded financially for referring customers to someone else’s business. Regarding affiliate marketing, I’ll say up front that it’s not as popular as it once was as an online business model. Back in the heyday of internet marketing, affiliate marketers were making huge money by promoting other people’s products and services online. But today, I’d say that it’s become somewhat more difficult to make a full-time income doing affiliate marketing. Not impossible, just more difficult overall. I’ll explain why in this episode of the podcast, and also tell you the best way to learn affiliate marketing, and how to get into it with minimal risk. Emancipated Living Podcast Episode 10: Interview With Blind Voice-over Artist Pete Gustin
Pete Gustin is a professional voice over artist, and has done commercial voice over work for well-known brands like Verizon, TGI Fridays, Infiniti, TD Ameritrade, Microsoft, and more… and he’s legally blind. Now, that may not sound like a big deal to you, but think about it – how do you read your lines if you can’t see the teleprompter? Years ago Pete was told by a talent agent that he’d never make it in the voice over industry, but he’s simply not the type to take ‘no’ for an answer. Now he’s an in-demand voice talent heard on television commercials and radio promos across the country. Pete is a prime example of the Emancipated Mindset, which is why I’ve invited him on the show to share his story. He's a very inspirational guy, and I know you'll enjoy this interview.
