The Last of Us 2 Location Revealed & Who's Your Dream Daddy: DLG Podcast #8
This week's episode of the Downloadable Gaming Podcast once again came with big and surprising news all around! Naughty Dog's much anticipated sequel The Last of Us 2 may have given away its location. According to articles we are given hints in the trailer that may suggest that all or part of the game will take place in Washington State. Nintendo Switch has gone on a major high and low this past week. Nintendo's newest hit console surpassed its anticipated first quarter earnings by bringing in over 1.3 Billion dollars in revenue. Then the Nintendo Switch came back to reality as there are reports of overheating from the hybrid console. Overheating on a console that you hold in your hands...that sounds like a bad sign. We may be stepping back in time to the early 90s. Instead of the war between Playstation and Xbox, we may be discussing the wars between...Atari and Sega?!? The two video game icons are planning to release consoles in September with both having games come pre-installed in the system. Cannot wait to see where this goes. We talk about the newest and most talked about dating simulator Dream Daddy. Where you play as a dad dating other dads. The game has brought up a lot of conversation, including the fact that it doesn't directly use the word gay anywhere in the game. NBA 2k18 is planning to be one step ahead of FIFA and Madden when it comes to narrative stories in sports games. The popular NBA game is planning to have a narrative Franchise mode in the game. You will be taking charge of the franchise from top to bottom from conversations with the owner, coaches, players, and of course the media.

How Is GTA V Still Selling in 2017?!? | DLG Podcast #7 ft. Brandon Regis
On this week's edition of The Downloadable Gaming Podcast, we have a lot of Nintendo news, Pokemon announcements, and some shocking news regarding the top 10 selling games in 2017. Nintendo's Switch mobile app finally released and is already hitting the rough patch. The app is suppose to further connect online players on the Nintendo Switch by allowing them to plan games and speak to each other via voice chat. But the drawback is that the phone needs to be on and the app running in order for the voice chat to work. This sounds like a complete battery drain. Nintendo, you are known for individuality and innovation, but please just do the same thing as Xbox and Playstation when it comes to voice chat online. Telltale Gaming has made a huge splash with three new seasons of their popular games releasing. We are getting new seasons of The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and Batman. Telltale Games gives us incredible story based games that adapt to our choices and they are going for the three peat with these releases. After being disappointed in finding out that Terry Crews would not be the voice of Doomfist in Overwatch, we got some closure as screengrabs of the actor in Crackdown 3. While the screen grab captures the well known physique of Terry Crews, we are still waiting to have him bring out his comedic side as a voice character. Grand Theft Auto V released in 2013....but it is still selling in 2017. As of June of this year, GTA V sits at number four on the list of top ten games of 2017. Passing popular games such as Horizon Zero Dawn, Injustice 2, and NBA 2K17.

Doom(fist) is upon us | DLG Podcast #5
Overwatch fans rejoice! After a year of wondering who the infamous Doomfist is we finally discovered....that it isn't Terry Crews. But we finally got to see a cinematic trailer and some gameplay from the newest Overwatch character and it is amazing. almost as amazing as the fact that you can now earn a scholarship to UC Irvine by being great at Overwatch. We also have Pokemon go celebrating its first anniversary with a special edition Pikachu that trainers can find throughout the world. How do you find it? Well listen and find out. Scalpers are now trying to preorder the SNES classic and resell them for quadruple the price. Well Ebay wasn't having any of that as they started taking down auctions for the SNES classi9c by these scalpers. The Nintendo Switch's online smartphone app is due to release on July 21st. Allowing Switch players to set up game appointments and chat with each other during gameplay. You know what else does that? An actual smartphone! Playstation still taking L's? They have pulled one of the wildest moves by re-uploading Microsoft's Xbox One X footage of Anthem, but photoshopping the button layout to suit Playstation. Want more DLG? The Renaissance of Retro Gaming | DLG Podcast #4
Another week, another list of interesting and hilarious gaming news that needs to be shared. On our 4th of July edition of The Downloadable Gaming Podcast we take you through more stories happening in our world of video games. We start off (once again) with Sony and their refusal to play ball when it comes to cross play. Rocket League developers have been saying that they contact Sony EVERY DAY to discuss cross play between all platforms, Sony is the only one that has not agreed to this even though it is possible for Playstation to cross play Rocket League with other platforms. Can this decision be the beginning of the end for Playstation 4? The Last of Us 2 is a Playstation exclusive that everyone is waiting for. Even though we may not get the game for a few years, there have been behind the scenes photos on Twitter that have sparked a lot of attention. Including...A pig with a motion capture harness? Rumors are flying through the air that Dragon Age may make a return with a new sequel. The rumors are saying that something is happening with Dragon Age and the team is hiring a lot of people. We have not had a Dragon Age game since Inquisition released around three years ago. The Saints are making a comeback! No, it is not another installment of the hilarious Saints Row franchise. Agents of Mayhem; which takes part in the same universe s Saints Row, will be adding some of our favorite intergalactic gang bangers into the game. The characters that have been announced are Pierce Washington, Olig, and everyone's favorite badass; Johnny Gat. If they still have the same personalities as they did in all of the Saints Row games. We will definitely be buying. A founder of both the Dishonored franchise and Arkane studios has announced that he ill be leavingthe studio...Will this have any effect on the games in the future? Nintendo Switch accomplishes a big milestone, being the fastest console to sell one million units in Japan. Even though the overall record does go to Sony's Playstation 4 with over sixty million units sold in fouryears, are we seeing the new king of the consoles? While Nintendo Switch is thriving in Japan, Xbox is struggling, The Xbox One managed to sell only around eighty thousand units in Japan, leading to question on whether they will decide against shipping out the Xbox One X when it releases. Phil Spencer crushed those rumors stating that The Xbox One X will indeed be sold in Japan and that they "will never give up on Japan". Nintendo has also released their newest handheld console, the Nintendo 2DXL. This is thought to be the more affordable version of the 3DSXL, as well as Nintendo's final handheld console now that the Switch is available. Who knows how this will sell now that everyone in the world wants a Switch. Nintendo keeps the news going with the announcement that we will be getting a SNES mini. With the buzz around this mini console coming after the major success of the NES mini, are we seeing the renaissance of retro gaming? Want more DLG?
