The countdown is well and truly on as most teams now have less than 10 regular season games to go. Hence the lads thought this would be a good opportunity to put forth their playoff wish lists. We took the approach of suggesting teams and naming one thing that they need to fix or amend in order to catapult then into title contention. We tackled a heap of opportunities available for these teams, including the Grizzlies being able to curb Dillion Brooks enthusiasm for shooting and the Kings leaky defence. And there we have it, NBL season 2022/2023 officially comes to and end. With the Sydney Kings crowned champions once again. In a thrilling game 5, the Kings were able to outlast a very gutsy NZ Breakers team, to be able to call themselves back to back champs. The band was officially back together this week for another massive episode. Nic returned for another installment of our NBL focused show, this week discussing all the fallout from the first 2 games of the NBL Finals Series. This week Nic took on the challenge of categorising all 30 teams within the league. Analysing whether they were contenders or pretenders based on what the remainder of their season could well look like… We had 6 categories to try and fit all the teams from both the Eastern & Western Conference into, ranging from battling it out in the Wemby stakes, through to teams we believe are genuine title contenders. After another chaotic week of NBL action, Nic returned to discuss all the highlights from week 2 of the NBL playoffs! It was a tremendous week of action with both semi finals series heading to do or die game 3's. The Kings were able to clutch up in an incredibly hard fought contest vs the Taipans, whilst in New Zealand, the Breakers were able to outmuscle the JackJumpers to send them to their first finals series in 7 years! After concluding our two part mid season review series last week. The team this week tackled players most under pressure heading into the last half of games and beyond into the playoffs.
