Episode 13 – Are You KJV Only?
Todays show started with the normal review of contemporary news found online:  First, we discuss the case of a thief returning 200 yr. old bible due to a case of a guilty conscience.   Access the original article here.  Secondly, we discussed recent meetings wherein the African Catholic leadership called for my use of the bible. Access the original article here.  Finally, the ACLU-TN took exception to the in-classroom dispersal of NT by the Gideons. Access the original article here.   The main topic focuses history of bible translations and a brief discussion about the translation process. We look at the various bibles [in numerous languages] as found at the biblegateway website. Each translation has its own set of pros and cons. Specifically, we looked at the wording of Psalms 1 in the KJV, NIV, and NET version of the bible. We would like to thank our sponsor: BlueHost.com and Amazon Kindle Offers. Episode 9B – More Than A Gateway
Part 2: This episode include my very first interview in any of the podcasts on the network. This was a very exciting process. I did make a little bit of an error but I am hopeful it was not too noticeable.  Here is the link to the website for Flat River Outreach. Instead of news items [in my attempt to keep control of the timing of the show] I did not include any news items. Regardless, the show went a few minutes longer than the normal time. The main topic for this week was the Bible Gateway website and iOS app. I reviewed the details of the website along with the app. The sites statement of beliefs and mission were also discussed. This platform is available on PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices and give access to literally hundreds of bible translations in scores of languages.  Here is a link to the website.  If you want to access the iTunes site it is here and the Google Play link is here. As a result of the extra time, there was only one advertiser this week and one main call to action. This weeks advertiser was BlueHost.com. Dont forget to follow andamp; subscribe to our show. You can do this via iTunes, Stitcher Radio and Miro. All links are on the site. God Bless...
