Firefighter Chick | S2E1
Join me in the Firehouse! Chicago firefighter chick, Liz Seguin, and I discuss so many cool things about Chicago, being a firefighter, and life in general. I chatted with her about farmlife and hunting too! We had so much fun together. After the episode was recorded, she gave me a tour, which was a bucketlist item for me. I've always wanted to see a big city firehouse!

What is The Chick Wire? | S1E1
Click below to listen Sponsor: Prime Land Farm, robotic dairy in Michigan’s Thumb. Prime Land Farm has milk cows, beef cattle, and grows corn wheat, sugar beets, and hay in Huron and Sanilac counties. Episode: What is The Chick Wire? It’s a network of women that shares values, cultivates understanding, and inspires without judgement. All personal goals aside my philanthropic heart thinks there should be more of a focus on the good in the world. A lot of crazy stuff is happening in the world that breaks my heart, but I think a community of uplifting women can be the neck that turns the head of the world in a better direction. My former name and website farmbarbie.com closed due to dispute with “the company." I was physically, emotionally, and mentally spent from crying, worrying, and starving over the stress. I lost weight, experienced the 5 stages of grief over loss of Farm Barbie, and took up some new habits to cope. I finally gave up once I realized my health and relationships were at risk. I decided I could still keep doing what I was doing just under a new name. That’s when I thought of it! A podcast! Using my literal voice to connect to people gave birth to the name The Chick Wire. I believe that the more we know about each other, the less we judge, the more understanding we will be, and the better off we all will be. So I’m sending out an OPEN CALL for awesome chicks: I welcome everybody The Chick Wire is nonexclusive. If you’re awesome let me know! Tell me your story and if I select you we can do a blog, a podcast, or video whatever you’re most comfortable with. I’m so proud of myself for rebounding so quickly. “The company” might have won the battle but they didn’t win the war. I’m determined to use my voice for good. Welcome to The Chick Wire!!!
