At a young age, Juan was brought into America from Mexico, and after several years, his father got deported and that effectively broke up his family. Juan and his sister were left in Dallas as teenagers, having to fend for themselves, and since then he has graduated high school, completed college, found a job, and now is engaged to his lovely fiancé Amy. Juan is a fantastic gospel rapper, and he travels quite a bit promoting his music to inspire young people to find purpose in life.  

Dr Rob Carman is a sought-after worldwide speaker on motivation and leadership, and he travels all over the world to bring transformation to communities and help people effect meaningful change in their personal lives, their families, businesses, governments, and economies.

I am excited about what’s in store for The Champion’s Odyssey this season. It’s going to be awesome! It’s the beginning of the year, and just about every podcast out there starts off with a motivational episode on goal-setting, resolutions, fresh starts, and so on. It’s the middle of the month, and I think most of us should already have an idea of what goals we want to pursue and how we are going to achieve them. Well, I’m all about setting goals, and I’m all for improvement and being more efficient and productive. But I am also all about discovering what opportunities are out there for me to pursue, and that involves knowing and being cognizant of the times and having a handle on reality. So on this episode, I just want to be real with you and present some things for you to think about as you set and pursue your goals.

Everywhere you go at this time of the year, you hear Christmas music, and carols playing, shops and retail stores decked out in full Christmas decorations. Everywhere you look you see evergreen wreathes wrapped with red ribbons, Santa Claus on his sleigh taking pictures with little kids, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, Frosty the snowman and elves in bright red or green yoga pants. But hardly anywhere you go that’s public will you hear the true meaning for the celebration Christmas.    

Robert is the Founder of The Around The World Kindness Journey, a Facebook group he started in 2011 to promote cultural bridge-building, understanding, and Kindness to people groups all over the world. This is his one-man attempt to spread the message of accepting others where they are and as they are in life.  

Sam Varughese is a Healthcare Chaplain who assists in providing support to those who are in emotional crisis or spiritual distress. He serves in the Dallas area, the Pediatric population at the Children’s Medical Center, and the general population at Baylor Scott & White Hospital System, as well as the Geriatric and terminally ill patients through his ministry as a Hospice Chaplain. He takes pride in being a husband to his lovely wife, Christina and a devoted dad to his 2 daughters.

  Benny Hsu is a blogger, podcaster, iPhone app developer, and online entrepreneur. In August 2011, Benny released his first iPhone app, Photo 365, and in the first month alone Benny got featured as App of the Week by Apple and earned $30,000 in just 30 days. Benny couldn’t believe how much money it was making every day. And it all started eight months earlier when he took a risk to develop that app. He had no idea how to do it, but as it turned out he learned it could be done. And that started his iPhone app business. Since then Benny has found other ways to make money online.   

Lawrence Chung is a business leader having began his career in management consulting.  He has worked with a wide array of clients and customers.  He is also very involved in building his local church and empowering leaders in every area of life.  Lawrence just became a dad and currently is expanding his client base in the Dallas Ft Worth metroplex.

Mark is a Web Developer and a software engineer building web applications for NASA with his company Element 84 .  Prior to that, Mark was a consultant at the Active Network and also an entrepreneur working on his own business doing web design.  Additionally Mark is also a devoted triathlete and actively participates in triathlons all over the country.

  Dr. Rob Carman has been in 68 nations, trained over 50,000 national leaders and has spoken in person to one million people. He has been awarded two Doctorate Degrees from two universities. He also served for several years as both the Executive International Director at Christ for the Nations, Dallas, Texas and as their Institute Missions Director. In 2002, Dr. and Mrs. Carman resigned their church they founded in New Mexico to help raise up the next generation of leaders across the world.  

  Keith Griffis is a digital product expert who helps people create their own membership sites, courses, and digital products. He has helped people such as Sue B Zimmerman, the instagram gal and countless others. He is co-founder of IfSimply.com a membership club platform that allows people to create their own club in 5 minutes or less.  

Brooke is a guitar instructor in the Dallas Ft Worth area. Previously she worked at an insurance agency for many years but in 2010 Brooke decided to quit her job go on a mission trip and start teaching guitar for a living.  Today she has taught over 200 students to play the guitar and express themselves through music.  She is a gifted singer-songwriter and regularly performs at local coffee houses and other intimate venues. Yosia is the international pastor at the ROCK Sydney, Australia. ROCK Sydney is a vibrant Indonesian community that was founded by Yosia’s father 18 years ago, and today has a congregation of 550 people and growing.  Yosia is also a cancer survivor, having battled leukemia a few years ago. Today, he speaks regularly at ROCK Sydney, and also travels into Indonesia preaching and encouraging Christians in their journey of faith.
