045 – The Magic of Regifting the Good Stuff in Your Teacher Life

Have you ever seen the episode of Seinfeld where Elaine finds out that the label maker she gave somebody got regifted to Jerry?

It’s a classic.

That episode, in all its glory, actually popularized the concept of “regifting.”

And I’ve gotta admit that thoughts of regifting got popularized in my own teacher brain when I somehow managed to receive more mugs, bottles of lotion, and candles than one human could ever put to good use.

While I definitely believe “it’s the thought that counts”…

I secretly wished my students’ families would have just shared their kindness with me through a simple card (or a Starbucks gift card! heehee).

Because there was always this little twinge of guilt whenever I’d donate #allthemugs to the faculty room…

Or regift the lotions and candles to my grandmas.

You feelin’ me?

But this year I’ve decided to reinvent “regifting.”

I’m spinning it in a whole new light.

My new definition of regifting has nothing to do with extraneous presents you know you’ll never use.

And it has everything to do with you giving the BEST gift you could evvvver give your students, your family, and your friends – regardless of what day it is.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • A surprising twist on the concept of regifting that’ll help you make this the most magical holiday season of all time.
  • A new definition for what it means to be “gifted” and why YOU deserve to be in the Gifted Teachers’ Club.
  • Two simple “take action challenges” that will amplify your gift giving – for free.
