The Reds went in the tank last week - but since naysayers Mat and Heizman missed this week's taping, Doug and Rob try and convince themselves good things can still happen for the Redlegs this season.  On a more positive subject the Buckeyes rolled Cal, but we have concerns about the defense, and any talk of a potential quarterback controversy between Braxton Miller and Kenny Guiton has Doug twitchy.   Plus we have a hearty debate on if you need to draft a wide receiver in the first round or if you can build in the later rounds and free agency.  (We're two weeks into the season, so of course it's time to start talking about the draft for Browns fans. The Reds looked dead against the Cardinals - have the guys give up on Cincy for the season?  Well, that depends on which one you ask.  Unfortunatley Heizman and Doug were unavailble for comment so this week it's up to the former World Tag Team Champions Rob and Mat (Team Jenkins) to break down why the season may or may not be over. With everyone commenting on A-Rod, the guys touch on the subject of PEDs in baseball. Football season is creeping up so Mat and Rob give their take on the preseason rankings and discuss the situation that is Johnny Football. Thanks for listening!

As we hit the All-Star break we're talking about the Reds first hald of the season.  Cincinnati is only five games back from the Cardinals, so of course Heizman is writing off any chance for the Reds to take the NL Central.  Athough his reasoning is certainly worth a listen.  Mat also is finding himself more and more in doubt that the Reds are anything other than a wild card team and first round fodder for the Pirates or St. Louis.  And yes, Doug is still ridiculously optimistic. We also debate the merits of brining in an experienced veteran to help things along the rest of the way, and debate the likelihood Cincinnati doesn't make a move at the trade deadline.
