June 12, 2016 - Hour 2

NATHAN SAPSFORD, from TNT's "The Last Ship" and Discovery's "Gunslingers," is our special guest this week. NATHAN, originally from Sydney, Australia, has had several leading roles in American film and television productions. He plays an Arkansas outlaw lead on the series "Gunslingers" on Discovery Network's American Heroes Channel, and also hit TV screens in TNT's "The Last Ship," as a cheeky trigger-happy British Commando. On the big screen he plays a desert convenience store owner with an enthusiastic storytelling meth habit in the sexy road movie "What Lola Wants," which featured at the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival. Prior to his Los Angeles move, NATHAN had another life in Australia. He was one of Australia's most loved TV hosts, on Australian televisions and bedroom walls since 2006. He was a proud and popular MTV VJ for 3 years, hosting everything from TRL, MTV News, MTV Screen and everything in between. He also conceived, produced and hosted the Australian Cable TV award-nominated international travel show "QT: Quality Time," among several others. He was also the male voice of MTV Australia and its sister VH1, for all on-air promotion. After this he became the much loved host of "Video Hits," Australia's most popular, highest rating music, entertainment and pop culture show on Network TEN Australia, traveling the world for special events and high profile interviews. This month, NATHAN is on stage at the Matrix Theatre in a production of the play "Ruben Guthrie," which takes an affecting and darkly comic look at alcoholism and the impact of Australia's drinking culture. A heady cocktail of fizzy humor and touching revelation about a Sydney adman who spirals high, then crashes hard, it's the story not only of his battle with the bottle - but also of the city that won't let him put it down. Hear our live interview with NATHAN SAPSFORD this Sunday evening on KRLA 870AM!
