JOHN PROSKY, featured actor in ABC's hit show "Scandal," HBO's "True Blood" and NBC's "Medium," is our special guest this Sunday night! JOHN has been a favorite on our television screens for many years! In addition to his most recent recurring roles on such shows as "Scandal," for which he recently completed a five episode arc, "Major Crimes," "True Blood," "The Closer," "Touch," "Medium" and "The Practice," and guest starring roles on shows including "Fringe," "Criminal Minds," "Revenge"and "The Mentalist." He has appeared in 45 films including such movies as "The Devil Inside," "The Hulk," "Nutty Professor," "Bowfinger" and "Straight Outta Compton." In addition, JOHN has taught in the juvenile prison system of Los Angeles County for the past 15 years and is head of the education outreach wing of Antaeus, where he is one of the creators and the lead teacher of the Odyssey Artist's Workshop, a Shakespeare and dramatic writing program for the incarcerated and underserved young people of Los Angeles. This summer, JOHN is starring in a brand new play by Tennessee Williams, "Baby Doll," adapted from the 1956 Academy Award-nominated film of the same name. Darkly comic and crackling with sexual tension, Baby Doll is the story of 19-year-old married virgin "Baby Doll" Meighan, who must consummate her marriage in two days, on her 20th birthday - as long as her middle-aged husband, Archie Lee (played by JOHN), upholds his end of the bargain to provide her with a comfortable life. When Archie Lee burns down his neighbor's cotton gin to save his failing business, his rival, Sicilian immigrant Silva Vacarro, arrives to seek revenge. What ensues is a complex mix of desire and desperation, with Baby Doll as both player and pawn. Hear our live interview with JOHN PROSKY this Sunday evening on KRLA 870AM!
