024-For Athletes -Supra Maximum HIIT Causes The Most Physiological Improvements
If I was asked by a professional sports team, an Olympic trainer, a college team manager what could I do to improve the physiological output of even the highest of their performers here's what I would say in four words: Supramaximal high intensity intervals.

023-The 20 Second Burst Exercise Experiment
The question I have been working on is this; what is the shortest duration, highest intensity that offers the best physiological benefits? There must be a sweet spot of time and intensity that provides the best health benefits of exercise with the understanding that we're only going to be utilizing high intensity, short duration exercise bursts. The podcast begins here…

022-Intense Exercise Shows Physical Breakdown
Take an elite athlete; they are young, healthy, and their bodies function almost to perfection -- until they reach their maximum output. But you may never know what their highest levels of functions are until they are pushed beyond their capacity and train in these high levels of function.

019-No Such Exercise To Rip Your Abs
The poor souls who spend their waking days working on their abdominal muscles and their nights dreaming of washboard abs. The podcast begins here… The poor souls who believe fitness is spot toning, tight muscles, and possibly a bronze-toned body are missing out on the joy and the magnificent effect that exercise offers. They have been propagandized by two groups of charlatans.Gym heads - those trainers of all sorts who live in the gym and don't have a sense of benefiting from a good, effective exercise that does not take a lot of time, nor by going outside and enjoying life.Quacks - those doctors or the like who have never worked out a day in their life who espouse the historic rhetoric of exercise untruths like: no pain, no gain and other such nonsense.

018-The Cost of Bad Exercise
Exercise causes much more oxidation or free radical production than what happens during the normal day of metabolism. In a normal day of your life, not including exercise, just cellular metabolism, you produce free radicals – oxidation.

017-Setting Biological Clocks With Exercise
Please hang with me as I unpack this important information. It is a little heady but there is gold in this. Get through the first part with me and then the ideas get better as we continue.I’m going to review this article and then add my interpretations and opinions. It was published in“Nature”: Reviews in EndocrinologyKey points:• Skeletal muscle has an extensive network of clock-controlled genes, and dysregulation of its molecular clock can lead to deleterious metabolic consequences.• Physical strength and skeletal muscle mitochondrial function peak in the late afternoon, whereas low-energy sensitive signalling peaks in the morning.• Exercise is a robust Zeitgeber of skeletal muscle clocks, and exercise can reset the molecular circadian clock, thereby effectively ameliorating the negative effects of disrupted sleep patterns.• Optimizing the timing of exercise bouts could aid existing therapeutic interventions for the management of metabolic disease.• Divergent modalities of exercise can interact with the circadian rhythm, resulting in potent metabolic effects.

015-Simple Fitness Test
This simple test will predict your fitness level and may predict your risk of dying The podcast begins here… This simple test will predict your fitness level and may predict your risk of dyingIf you have a good exercise capacity - capable of high levels of physical activities - not only will your fitness level be high, your risk of dying will be delayed. It is this “metabolic capacity”, the ability of your body to function at high levels of stress, that determines your physical fitness level. As important, you will prolong your life and keep many chronic diseases at bay.

009-Dr Justin Klein Talks Cross Crawl
The podcast starts here… I first heard about Dr. Klein from an article I read from The Washington Post. Dr. Klein was interviewed about his unique exercise modality called “Cross Crawl”. Now, I’ve known about Cross Crawl for years but Dr. Klein does a live cross crawl program at the Washington Mall, near the White House in Washington, DC. Since the Myoride does a type of cross crawl I thought I’d connect with Dr. Klein and get his perspective.Sometimes we go fairly deep into neurophysiology but this is really a very simple procedure.
