He chanced upon this profession through a very confusing brewing and distilling class taught in college which though was enough to make him curious to learn more. He is also someone who went into a meeting with a different agenda but instead walked out with a full time paid job that he has been at for over 7 years now. Scott is from Alaska, USA and has given it all to professions such as Military, Teaching but now concludes that Brewing is his final calling. Welcome to the 1st episode of ‘The Beer Chasers’. This is a podcast about brewers, beer, breweries and craft beer scene. We will be talking to Vaibhav Asharani, brewer in residence at Xoox, Bangalore, India. He is a master at his craft and gets bored easily talking to bloggers, like us, but we still attempted. And the result is an episode covering Vaibhav’s journey into brewing. He is a Chemical Engineer with major in Fermentation Science and trained in Belgium, home of over six Trappist breweries and great beer culture. He spoke to us about many things such as brewing with fresh hops, beer preferences of Maharashtra and Karnataka, specifically Bangalore.
