Today I'm going to start a series of explorations into ancient martial and political philosophies which governed manhood in times past.  Should be an interesting academic adventure. 

I'm not a religious person, but sometimes it's interesting to just get the perspective of somebody who represents the religious establishment, at least from the perspective of theological authority and biblical knowledge, being as how so much of our modern society, particularly in the South, is driven by religious influences.   So, that being said, this episode will piss some of you off, and I'm fine with it.  We, as men, need to expand our horizons, listen to other perspectives, and THINK about what parts of that perspective might be worth salvaging and which parts might be thrown into the rubbish heap. I'm not supporting or upholding any particular religion, as I'm quite careful to communicate throughout the episode, but I do think there's wisdom to be gained from this discussion.
