Episode 56: WTF Arrow?
The title should say everything.  I don't normally do this kind of thing, but after last night's episode of Arrow (originally aired March 1st, 2018) there needed to be a reaction episode for the podcast.  An early warning, this will not be pretty.  The rage is real, and it's present on this early edition of The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast.  So, if you think you can handle it, prepare to hear Paul get extremely passionate and angry over the disappointment that was the Arrow Season Six episode, "Collision Course".  What the f*** Arrow? Background music: "Cannibal Holocaust" Opening Theme Music by Riz Ortolani Outro Track: "Something For The Pain (Apoptygma Bezerk Remix)" by Zeromancer   If you would like to contact Paul and agree/disagree with his thoughts on this episode of Arrow: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batsbowsnbooks Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebatsbowsnbookspodcast   To buy merchandise from the show: Redbubble: https://www.redbubble.com/people/batsbowsnbooks   Thank you for listening to this week's episode.  Please make sure to subscribe, rate and review on iTunes or Google as well.  And if you could, please share this episode with friends and loved ones who may find this (absurd) show interesting.  Thanks always for your love and support.

Episode 55: The Cat, The Bat and The Arrow
This week, Paul returns to The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast with a slobberknocker of an episode.  As promised a while back, he would take two of the worst DC properties, and compare them painstakingly to determine which was worse.  The films in question?  Catwoman from 2004 vs. Batman & Robin from 1997.  How much pain and torture do you think your host had to endure to get through these two abominations?  Find out on this week's episode in a battle royale known as "The Cat vs The Bat".  Also this week, Paul explores his midseason thoughts towards the other part of the Bats and the Bows; Arrow.  How does Paul feel about this season?  What does he love?  What bothers him about Arrow?  It's all here.  So get some popcorn, and maybe a barf bag as this week, The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast brings all sorts of ranting and raving to the forefront in the episode known as Episode 55: The Cat, The Bat and The Arrow. Some background music featured is from Blake Neely's 2013 score for the first season of Arrow. Outro track: "The End is the Beginning is the End" by the Smashing Pumpkins, Live from the Eurockennees Festival in 1997.   To contact Paul or to buy merchandise from the show: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batsbowsnbooks Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebatsbowsnbookspodcast Redbubble: https://www.redbubble.com/people/batsbowsnbooks   And feel free to check out Paul's other podcast, What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero? at http://www.nextlevelradioonline.com/podcast-zero.html.   Thank you for tuning in.  Have a great day everyone!

Episode 54: Remembering Dolores/Agents of SHIELD
It's a short episode this week, as our lovable host has a bit of a cold and not much of a voice.  That said, this week Paul spends a bit of time recollecting the music of the Cranberries and its effect on his teenage years in the wake of the news that Dolores O'Riordan has passed away at the age of 46.  Paul also talks briefly about a few new shows coming to streaming services before diving into space with the Agents of SHIELD.  Also, a small preview of what's to come next week on The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast. Background music: "An Unlikely Hero: A Dark Synth/Cyberpunk Mix" from Confused Bi-Product of a Misinformed Culture (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APe7mtNxZew&t) Outro Track: "When You're Gone (2017 Acoustic Version)" by the Cranberries, from their 2017 release "Something Else" To contact Paul from The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batsbowsnbooks Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebatsbowsnbookspodcast Redbubble: https://www.redbubble.com/people/batsbowsnbooks Thank you everyone for tuning in this week.  Please share the podcast with friends and loved ones who may be interested in hearing the show, and thank you for your continued support. Episode 53: Cyberpunk Battleground (Akira vs Ghost in the Shell)
This week The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast forgets all about the superhero multiverse, and turns away from the horror genre, to open the door to another cookie in the jar; anime. This week Paul sings the high praises of two of the all time greatest juggernauts in the cyberpunk world of anime, 1988's "Akira" and 1995's "Ghost in the Shell".  It's a love affair, mainly Paul and his anime films.  So grab a java and get comfortable as The Bats, Bows n' Books heads off into the future landscapes of two classic tales from the land of Japan. Outro Track: "Empty Streets" by Scandroid; from the 2016 self-titled release Background music that can be heard throughout the episode originates from both the Akira Original Soundtrack and the Ghost in the Shell Original Soundtrack. Episode 52: Moving Pictures (A Year in Review)
It's a new year, but we're not done with 2017 just yet.  On this episode, Paul will run through not one, but two, Top Ten lists of his favorites of 2017.  The first Top Ten will be a countdown of his favorite TV programs of 2017, and then a Top Ten list of his favorite films of 2017 will follow.  There's also a special clip that has been brought to this week's show; a clip of two critics battling over a Star Wars film from the early 80s.  I'm sure you'll find that the argument sounds awfully similar to battles being fought on the Internet this very day. Outro track: the '89 Batman theme, as done by Artificial Fear. Background music: "Dystopia" by Goldpile (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQ8moLn3e-k) To find The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batsbowsnbooks Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebatsbowsnbookspodcast Redbubble: https://www.redbubble.com/people/batsbowsnbooks Thank you for taking the time to listen to this week's episode.  I hope you enjoyed the show as put on for your enjoyment this time around.  Please feel free to share this episode with friends and loved ones who may also find this interesting, and please share the Facebook page if possible.  Thank you so much for your continued support.  Until next we meet...

Episode 46: Discovering Atlantis
Finally, the show has returned, and it's about damn time.  And for the first episode since the month long hiatus, Paul explores the underwater world of Atlantis, and more importantly, its king...Aquaman.  But this isn't your typical exploration of the underwater monarch.  No, this is a time travelling piece, as we look at Aquaman, and how he was portrayed in 1968.  So get your snorkeling gear on and let's dive into this week's episode of The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast. Background music this week contains selections from the "Spookies" original soundtrack by Ken Higgins and Jim Calabrese, and also from the 2017 album "Orgy of the Vampires" by Terrortron.  Both albums can be purchased at http://www.bandcamp.com. Episode 45: Blood & Fire

Episode 44: The Thing That Should Not Be
It's a new episode on the day of the first anniversary for The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast, and this episode is something of the fun and ranty type.  So everyone these days just loves Wonder Woman, and the goodness that the film of said character is bringing.  But did you know there was a time when the Amazon Princess of Themyscira was handled so badly that even a pilot episode was withheld from the public?  Yes, it's true my friends.  But you wanna know something?  I've seen that pilot.  And today I'm sharing with you the details of that atrocity.  This one episode of Wonder Woman is so bad, I've given it the title of "the thing that should not be".  So gather round good kiddies, and let Uncle Pauly share with you a tale of the time David E. Kelley was almost allowed to destroy the Goddess of DC's holy trinity with one single pilot episode.  Outro Track: "Burnin' in the Third Degree" by Tahnee Cain & the Tryanglz; from the original soundtrack for the 1984 film "The Terminator".  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batsbowsnbooks  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebatsbowsnbookspodcast  Redbubble: https://www.redbubble.com/people/batsbowsnbooks Thank you so much for listening to this week's episode.  I hope you enjoyed it, and that you were able to have a laugh or just have a good time listening.  Please feel free to share this podcast with a loved one, and spread the word about the podcast.  Every little bit helps.  And thank you for joining me for the first year of this adventure, and hopefully you'll stick around for more to see where this all goes.  Thank you, and have a wonderful week.- Paul.

Those crazy galactic guardians from the Marvel universe returned to the theaters last Friday, and this week I'm here to give you a review of the box office hit, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.  To be fair to all those who've not seen the film yet, this episode contains no spoilers.  However, some of what you will hear might persuade you to get off your butt and go see this movie, if you haven't already.  Along with some quick thoughts on last week's episode of The Flash, and thoughts on 2017's Ghost in the Shell live action film, the primary focus of this week's episode is the misfit crew featuring Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Baby Groot and everyone they bring along for the ride.  Does the film measure up to the original?  Is it true James Gunn was in a Toxic Avenger film?  How good was Kurt Russell?  All these questions are answered, so strap on your seatbelts and let's take a ride into the cosmos with The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast.Outro Track: "Pass The Mic" by the Beastie Boys; live from Amsterdam 2004Multiple tracks from the "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" original musical score by Tyler Bates can be heard during the review of the film.To contact Paul at The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast, you can reach him at:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/batsbowsnbooksInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/snowblood.in.arkhamMerchandise can be purchased at: https://www.redbubble.com/people.batsbowsnbooksThank you for tuning into this week's episode.  I hope that you have enjoyed the show, and might want to spread the word and share this with a friend or loved one.  It would mean the world to me.  Thank you for all the support, and have a wonderful week.
