A brief overview of the EHV outbreak in California in February 2022.  Equine Herpesvirus-1 (EHV) is a very contagious virus and can cause fever and respiratory illness in horses. As riders, getting hurt is inevitable.  Injuries not only leave physical scars, but scar our confidence too.  Sometimes chronic pain or the fear of re-injury makes us reevaluate our riding.
