Jason Rutledge has been a friend of mine since meeting him at Star Wars Celebration last year. He rescued my convention experience after a briefly negative encounter with a convention goer who didn't like my Han Solo costume. Jason's positive, approachable, diplomatic demeanor saved my convention experience.  Having been the Legion Commanding Officer at the time, he was a very busy member of The Rebel Legion.  Despite this, he took the time to reach out to a stranger and save the day of yours truly.  He acted as an ambassador, more importantly a real person and fellow fan of Star Wars.  This speaks volumes of what it means to form friendships through Star Wars.  It was a privilege to have him on the podcast last May and it is still is a privilege to have him on the podcast now.  Since our last conversation, he has passed the LCO torch, becoming the Commanding Officer of the Rebel Alliance Infantry Detachment. When I met the Hip Hop Trooper on Twitter and Instagram last year before Celebration VI, I never thought I'd be interviewing him on my podcast. We find ourselves in the present with digital comics and democratized technologies allowing the average joe with the will, a way to make a comic book.
