Bible Camp Nightmare
‘Where do they come from? The dust. Where do they go? The grave. Does blood stir their veins? No: the night wind. What ticks in their head? The worm. What speaks from their mouth? The toad. What sees from their eye? The snake. What hears with their ear? The abyss between the stars. They sift the human storm for souls, eat flesh of reason, and fill tombs with sinners. They frenzy forth. In gusts they beetle-scurry, creep, thread, filter, motion, make all moons sullen, and surely cloud all clear-run waters. The spider-web hears them, trembles--breaks. Such are the autumn people. Beware of them.” Ray Bradbury, Something Wicked This Way Comes The Autumn People is a podcast about everyday people whose lives have been touched by the paranormal; whether it be observing the manifestation of a ghost in an old house, a demon invoked through the innocent use of a spirit board, an encounter with a cryptid during the nocturnal hours of a camping trip, or sighting a UFO hovering above a stretch of highway in the lonely desert. It is also about those individuals whose lives are purposely entangled in the supernatural, such as disciples of esoteric belief systems, members of paranormal enthusiast clubs, and academics devoted to the study of myths and legends. The first guest on The Autumn People is Shay Beezley, a librarian by trade who shares her encounter with a nightmarish figure during her stay at a summer bible camp. You can also read Shay’s story here. http://jezebel.com/5854965/ten-super-spooky-ghost-stories-to-keep-you-awake-tonight The theme for The Autumn People was composed by Nick Poss.
