As World Cup Qatar 2022 comes to a close, I wanted to talk about the greatest of all time: Leo Messi. Messi has had an incredible career and also a supreme performance in the recent World Cup and I can't help but talk about it. "Leo" has not only made an impact in my life and the way I play the sport, but also for millions of fans all over the world; regardless of what teams they support. I realize that there are many people who may not understand the gravity of Argentina's accomplishment, and hope this episode might put things in perspective. The No Judgement Foundation was founded and organized by Destiny Williams to help those in need who are overwhelmed by the struggles life can bring. The mission of the foundation is to provide aid to not only children preparing to tackle another school year, but also to alleviate the pressure parents and other adults might be experiencing when trying to make ends meet. I've recently been afforded the time to nurture my relationships with others and myself with a recent schedule change at work. Since I was 15, I never had a schedule that jived with my loved ones and therefore would rarely be able to invest time in my relationships with them as I should. With things the way they are now, I find myself spending quality time with others and doing things that allow me to keep myself mentally and physically healthy. This episode doesn't so much pertain to any particular topic, but stands more as a recognition of gratitude. Gratitude is something I need to practice more of, so with this episode I'll do just that. I can hardly believe that I've already been practicing as an EMT-B for a year. Jeremy Frias is a good friend of mine and has been since the 7th grade. I've always appreciated Jeremy's perspective and intelligence and, in a way, you could very well say that he enabled and nurtured my own. I believe conversations like the one we had here are important for people to hear. Depression can be a tough subject. Fortunately, Jeremy and myself have adopted a sort of 'open-book' policy in hopes that others may not feel so solitary in their experiences in such an adverse mental environment. Depression isn't the only subject we touch on though: we talk Figuary, sense of self and wellbeing, the importance of movement/mobility, Buddhist teachings, poison arrows and even sprinkle in a few banana jokes throughout. Ah, the amazing world of NFTs! I've created this episode as a crash-course in getting brand new people up-to-speed on NFTs and what they are. Some of you may have at least heard of NFTs and the idea of them may seem pretty outlandish and confusing. Beverley Danielle is an aspiring Life Coach who works in Law Enforcement with a slight Knight Rider obsession. She joins me today to talk how she went from working in Banking during the economic crash of 2008 to now being in Law Enforcement working in the Corrections and Analysis department. We get to talking about the journey of life and how sometimes things may not exactly be 'No', just 'Not right now'. The only nomad I know, Daniel Balbony was my 7th grade science teacher. The man made an impact on my life growing up and I know he's done the same for youth in the Lawrence, MA community.
