On this episode, Chris and Kyle talk about the 2020 season and all the success, failure, and learning opportunities that came with it.  We were both able to take deer this year which is a huge upgrade from being skunked last year.  Chris with an Illinois doe and Kyle with a brute of a buck down in Kentucky.  With anything you do, it's good to look back and reflect on what changes you would make and how to improve going forward.  Join us as we prepare for 2021. Hello all my fellow whitetail fanatics!  On this mini episode, Chris reviews the Fanatic System from Sitka Gear.  Being that Christmas is just around the corner and some of you may want to add these items to your list to Santa, we thought a good gear review would be very timely.  We are specifically covering the Fanatic Hoody, Fanatic Jacket, Fanatic Bibs, and the Fanatic Pack. FYI - This is not a complete fawning over Sitka Gear, there is legitimate feedback on how to improve this system, as well as, many reasons why this system excels in certain environments.

On this episode is someone who I've been trying to emulate as a hunter, he is a member of the Redneck Rising crew, and a man who has seemingly figured out the hunt/wife balance, Mr. JT Bouchard. JT has had a whirlwind season in 2020 already, with successful whitetail hunts in Oklahoma and the Upstate New York/Pennsylvania area and is looking to continue that as rifle season rolls in.  JT is an expert E-scouter and has been extremely helpful in helping Kyle and I figure out how to decipher our public land hunts. On this episode, we are previewing Kyle's trip to Kentucky for some early season archery whitetail hunting.  Kyle has another new set up that he's running right now and he's hoping for some redemption from his lost buck last season.  As usual, we get a little sidetracked here and there but this conversation was a lot of fun and tension is building as the season is underway!

Chris and Kyle are back for their second season of the podcast and hunting together.  Last year's season provided a lot of learning opportunities and gave us more than a few slices of humble pie.  For Season 2 we are just as, if not more, hopeful that we'll get a few whitetails on the ground and come away with some new strategies and meat in the freezer.  We've got plenty to talk about for the 2020 season and hope you enjoy the ride!

On this episode, Kyle is back from his long weekend hunting in Kentucky and has gone on an emotional roller coaster ride.  There is always plenty to learn from our mistakes and we break down what to do when that happens.  Chris had his closest encounter with a public land buck this past week while he was set up for his first hunt from the ground.  There are plenty of take-aways from this episode... one important one is that we are all human... even Kyle.

"Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face..." according to Mike Tyson.  But does it hurt to have a plan in the event that you run into another hunter who may be a bit aggressive, a landowner who has mistaken the property lines, or even a murderous clown in the woods?  Chris and Kyle weigh in on some different scenarios and talk about how they plan to handle the different situations.

Chris and Kyle sit down with Bob Meyer, co-owner of Chicago Archery in Elmhurst, IL.  Bob talks how he landed his dream job, his favorite hunts, and swears more than a sailor!  Between the laughter and the drinking, Bob also shared some of his insight on archery and why its so important to him.
