Announcing the Closure of the podcast "The Artist's Voice."

Show Notes Ezshwan Winding is a professional artist, living and working in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.  She is an accomplished encaustic artist and also teaches encaustic.  In this interview, Ezshwan gave a brief history of encaustic and also shared her process.  She is an example for artists in their senior years as well as those just starting out.  

Show Notes Melissa Godoy is an emerging artist who is emerging throughout the World.  She works in drawing, painting, textile, installation, performance, and analog projections.  Melissa explores themes of the subconscious with an emphasis on remembering her dreams and creating three dimensional pieces.   Resources melissagodoynieto.com | @mgodoynieto

Show Notes Anna Novakov is an artist who pursues many creative genres.  She is a successful business woman who has reinvented herself as a writer, a textile designer, a curator, and a certified perfumer.  Her background includes twenty years as an art history professor.  Anna divides her time between New York City and Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Her heritage as a Serbian-American influences her work.

Show Notes The 3rd Artist is a collaboration between two artists, Kim Rodeffer-Funk and Andrea Hupke de Palacio.  They have a unique relationship as Kim lives in Mizzoula, Montana and Andrea in Giessen, Germany.  Somehow, they are able to make this work across the pond.  They formed Atelier 325 as their birthdays are on March 25.  During this episode, they share how they met and their process. 

Show Notes Dr. Desiree Cox, from the Bahamas, is a scientific artist.  She specializes in regenerative art which is the union of science and creativity.  Dr. Cox uses what she calls her "Junkanoo Chords" palette based on a twice yearly Junkanoo Festival.  Not only does she claim to be a medical doctor specializing in psychiatry, but she is a self-taught artist, a Rhodes Scholar, and a Phd.  In the interview, she takes us back to her roots and shares about her yellow rucksack which she has as a reminder of her past.

Anum Farooq is a self-taught artist from London, UK, now residing in Borneo.  In addition to her passion for the arts, Anum has a background in Biochemistry and a professional career in Education.  She is an advocate for Kindness in Action, a cause that explores how kindness has changed women's destinies.  Anum is a global artist having been featured in many countries.

Show Notes JM Rizz, better know as JMR, is an artist originally from Brooklyn, New York, now working and residing in Dallas, Texas.  JM is very versatile and prolific.  He is an abstract expressionist working in color and black and white.  He also sculpts, create massive murals, and collaborates.  He uses collage elements in his paintings which gives them depth as he also uses transparent paint.   When creating murals, JM borrowed a technique from Matisse and uses a long stick with chalk on one end to draw on the wall.  JM's formative years were spent in Brooklyn riding a skateboard with a spray paint can in one hand and listening to music of his generation.  

Show Notes Artist Jarrett Camp lives and works in the Los Angeles, California area.  It may take him months to complete a painting stippling and pointillism are part of his process.  He shares an unusual approach to his work as he is challenged with dyslexia.   Resources www.jarrettcampart.com

Show Notes In addition to being a psychologist, Ashley Ehrhardt is a photographer from the Chicago are.  She's a one-woman show, photographer, producer, creator, and a model.  With all these responsibilities, Ashley gets the perfect shot even if it takes several hours.  She calls an ongoing series "See the Songs," and interprets lyrics in black and white photography.  One of her favorite groups is "October Blue," and her favorite song is "Sway." Show Notes Inna won a safety contest when she was twelve.  The prize was a camera and she became motivated.  As a photographer, Inna is very versatile and explores a diverse number of subjects from landscapes and selfies to still life.  She is in pursuit of "the perfect shot."

Show Notes Bo Bartlett is a realist painter, a film director and filmmaker.  His film, "Things Don't Stay Fixed," was recently released by Indican Pictures.  This film was in the making for 35 years, from Bo's concept through the script writing, and finally into production.  As a realist painter, Bo has based a series of works on the film, which will be shown at a New York City gallery in May.  In the meantime, Bo lives and works in Columbus, Georgia. Show Notes Stefan Fiedorowicz is a lyrical abstract artist originally from Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada.  He now lives and works in Austria.  Stefan states that the emotion in his work comes from somewhere deep down, and can speak to the inner part of each person.   He uses intuitive colour as his language. Show Notes Lenka Konopasek is a professional artist originally from the Czech Republic as well as a university teacher.  Even though she works in several media, she prefers to be labeled as an artist.  She creates cascading paper sculptures for which she painstakingly cuts and glues strips of paper together. Lenka is interested in global warming and what is left behind after an experience like a hurricane or fire.  Lenka resides in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband and thirteen year-old son.

Show Notes Ernestina Gatti, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a dancer, an actor and has a deep love for literature.  She finds it challenging to prioritize her interests.  As a dancer, training is a big part of her day.   She loves the freedom of spontaneous movement she has in contemporary dancing. She admits that she likes to audition.

Show Notes Kim Zabbia, from Ponchatoula,Louisiana, is a professional artist, teacher, and author.  To quote Kim, she stated, "Like instrumental music is to your ears, abstract art is to your eyes."  She further adds that music should make you feel good and abstract art should do the same.  With forty years experience, Kim shares a wealth of information.  

Show Notes As a professional artist, John Sproul lives and works in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Not only is he an artist, but also an art critic, an art activist, and a gallery owner.  In addition to drawing and painting, he also sculpts.  Even though he stated that he finds if difficult to talk about art, he is very entertaining and informative on this episode of "The Artist's Voice." Show Notes Steven Tritt is an emerging artist from Sycamore, Illinois.  He finds time for family and art as well as a full-time job.  His work is truly multi-media as he even uses sawdust and tobacco as well as acrylic and latex paint.  Intriguing texture is a result.  To quote Steven, "I feel as if I'm striking a balance between recognizable imagery and abstraction in my work."
