The 21st of March 2009 has been dubbed the greatest day in Irish Sport and The AO Show were throwing it back to two very special moments that happened in Rugby and Boxing.

The Kilkenny Cat Laughs festival is one of the highlights on the Comedy circuit every year in Ireland. It’s back for it’s 25th year this Summer. It will take place from Thursday 30th of May & run until Monday 3rd of June with some massive names and also up and coming comedic Irish talent. The AO Show caught up with comedian Karl Spain who is one of the headliners at this year’s festival to see if he could make Dev the cat laugh with some funny one-liners. Then we got the AO Show family involved.

Fred Cooke caught up with Aidan and Oonagh from the AO Show and shared his incredible journey (and weight loss!) that has happened since Fred joined Dancing With The Stars.

Ruby O Kelly, a 13-year-old girl from Ballyjamesduff in Cavan, has written and performed a powerful song about the affects bullying can have on children. Ruby joined Aidan and Oonagh from the AO Show to share her single – ‘You Won’t Stop Me’ which addresses the theme of bullying. Ruby’s song ‘You Won’t Stop Me’ features the lyrics, “you won’t stop me, ‘cause I will fly someday” and sends a message to children who may be suffering from bullying to get help and to stand up to their bullies.

Oonagh’s sister-in-law Nancy is going to the chapel and she’s going to get married. . .this Saturday afternoon. However, Nancy hasn’t picked the entrance song for the post wedding meal. What song should she choose? The AO Show gang were full of great (and some . . not so great) suggestions!

The AO Show paid tribute to the brilliant late great Dermot Morgan in this Throw Back Thursday Special.

Galway girl, Aimee Carty is helping to raise money for the Galway Simon Community. Back in December, Aimee wowed everyone with her incredible song ‘Tell Me Your Story’ which was inspired by a homeless teenager Aimee came across in Galway city a few years back.
