#003: The future of social media and influencer marketing - Detch Singh from Hypetap
Detch Singh (@detchsingh) is the co-founder and co-CEO of Hypetap, a social influencer marketing platform. Hypetap's goal is to create a marketplace for brands, agencies, influencers and talent managers and over the past 3 years, Hypetap has achieved some great success helping to build and execute brand campaigns for some of the world's biggest brands including Google, Trip Advisor, Nestle, Disney and Uber. You can check out some of the other brands that Hypetap has worked with on their website.   I first met Detch back in our university days, and watching him make his transition from the corporate world to the startup world has been both inspiring and exciting. #002: Exploring the world through a lens - Rohan Hutchinson
Rohan Hutchinson (@RohanHutchinson) is a large format photographic artist, art book maker and world explorer based in Australia. His works have focussed on documenting landscapes and architecture around the world. His most recent exhibitions have explored the transformation of an architectural space and our relationship with the environment. He has participated in Artist in residencies programs in Canada and Japan and his research trips also include China, Alaska and the Arctic. Some of Rohan's most recent works include: A City In Itself - A project that he undertook in Tokyo, Japan which explores the variety of architectural elements that make up a city Elemental - A series of works which explores how variance in extreme weather conditions and slight shifts in geographic position affects architecture In our conversation, we talk about all things travel and photography including: His pathway to becoming a photographic artist His current camera gear His best tip for people taking better photos The inspiration behind his show "Elemental" What it was like taking photos in Canada at -30c temperatures His creative process from concept to exhibition Rohan’s plan to visit the Arctic and document his next project And much more! I first saw Stu after his viral video was sent to me from a friend and knowing what the working culture is like in Japan, I certainly had a laugh! I reached out to Stu via email, and after a few months of trying to fit in a skype call between both of our travels, I was fortunate enough to meet him in person in Japan on a recent trip.
