Chakras, or energy centres, are wheels of energy located throughout the body. There are 7 main chakras that align the spine, which we want to keep open to allow energy to flow freely.
Each chakra contains bundles of nerves, major organs as well as our psychological, emotional, and spiritual states of being. The lower three chakras are related to survival, the upper three chakras are related to higher consciousness and the 4th chakra in the middle is the bridge that connects them.
We want to keep our life force energy (prana) moving freely throughout the body to keep us well. In today's episode you will learn how to tell if you are in or out of balance, and some poses to practice that can help.
