It was all going a little too easy. The Air Buds cruised through ten episodes without an ounce of adversity, gathering listeners by the bushel. It's that famous time that everyone has been waiting for (or would be if we didn't think the idea up like two minutes before recording): HOT SEAT WEEK! Which means the guys will use a meaningless term to justify asking each other sparsely-connected questions that are incredibly hard to follow! Ever wondered about what animal one specific Wisconsin high school track star has adopted? How about the relative strengths of carb categories according to a guy that is unnervingly opinionated about them? Or if we would pout publicly in order to get traded to a better team? Good! Because we're going to talk about exactly those things!

The Buds give rapid, tired reaction after the end of NLDS Game 5, one of the dumbest things that has ever happened in the history of time. Then they debate whether it would be worth being given a lot of money to live in Cleveland. Then it's time to celebrate the real love of the Goodells and ease on into finding who was This Week's Winner.

It's a week with almost too much good stuff, but the Buds capably cover everything you could possibly hope. Including but not limited to: Dwyane Wade shifting the landscape of power in the Eastern Conference, Nacho Man, Kendall v. Khloe, Tripp Van Der Bilt, and a big win for water. Don't forget the debut of two segments that are sure to be favorites as well as the exciting revamp of our only segment more than five episodes old! Come on in and stay a while!

The Buds dive right into two hilarious scandals that have rocked the world of sports and left us asking ourselves: how petty can professional athletes be? Then it's time to spend about a half hour talking about the Los Angeles Rams for some reason and finish off with our classic This Week's Winner segment that the AV Club describes as "transcendent."

The Buds discuss the first week of the NFL season and revisit their predictions, most of which are completely ruined after a single week. They take matters into their own hands and either stubbornly stick to their bad picks or take a mulligan and change to other, worse picks. Then things get heated as they try to definitively say if Tom Brady is "that good."

Matt & Scott give 100% correct predictions about the upcoming NFL season and demoralize several young quarterbacks for seemingly no reason. Then they take the Red Sox to task for destroying the integrity of baseball with Apple Watches. Add in some talk about Willson Contreras, Kirk Cousins' divine intervention, and the Bachelorverse and you've got one heck of an episode! The Buds return after a brief four-year hiatus to discuss the Mayweather/McGregor fight, Hard Knocks, and other sports happenings. They also invent a game called "Would You Rather" and draft impressively bad basketball teams.
