S2E3- So I can explain...
It's been seven months, and I'm sorry... but I can explain! Just a week after releasing my last episode, my life took a crazy turn. I am now starting a nonprofit urban farm. Who saw this coming? Not me! But here we are, seven months in and we are opening two locations in Huntington, WV, connecting people in addiction recovery to nature-assisted therapy. This episode is the story of how Gro Huntington came to be. Check us out at GroHuntington.org or donate to our crowdfunding campaign at gofund.me/grohuntington. Thanks for tuning in! S2E2- How To Have Great Sex Part 1
Sex is weird. We treat it like a pass time, but seek it out when we're lonely. It means nothing, and everything. This episode of The Adulting Podcast is part 1 of my interview with Corey Wilks, a graduate student in Psychology with an academic interest in sex and intimacy. *Maybe don't listen to this episode with young kids in the car. NSFW** Millennials in the news this week: Millennials Think They're Narcissistic Too, and Gloria Steinem vs. Young Feminists.

S2E1- Growing Up Still Sucks
It's a new year! As promised, the Adulting Podcast is new and improved. This season is all about conversations and interviews, millennials in the news, book and movie reviews, and thoughtful, fearless topics. Yes, this year will be all about the ugly and taboo side of growing up, from sex with your ex to whether your parents are still paying your cell phone bill. The Adulting Podcast, the show that exists for one reason: because growing up sucks.

017- Decision-Making (Season 1 Finale)
This is our last episode until January! Be sure to subscribe so you can catch back up with us in 2016! The truest struggle for those of us trying to grow up is making choices. But I know a secret: most of the time, it's not about the right move, the key is to acknowledge that we live in chaos, and there is no way we can control or change that fact.

016- Peter Pan Syndrome
This ain't Neverland! Peter Pan syndrome makes sense- growing up is the worst- but come on! Why can't people get it together and stop being selfish?! This episode veers toward goofy, but Peter Panning is seriously annoying, so let's stop it! The Adulting Podcast is your weekly resource for, by, and about Millennials who are just trying to figure out this adulthood thing.

015- Letting Go
In relationships, letting go is often unimaginable. How do we walk that line between self-care and care for others when the ones we love are struggling with addiction, depression, or self-destruction? The Adulting Podcast is your weekly resource for, by, and about millennials and others who are trying to figure out this adulthood thing.

014- The Slash Generation
Millennials are being called The Slash Generation. This really speaks not only to our financial realities, but also our embracing of crativity and individuality in the workplace. How cool is that?! This episode is dedicaed to every millennial slasher out there.

013- Privacy
The Ashley Madison hack exposed more than a few names. It demonstrated that privacy may be a thing of the past if we choose to be connected in our electronic world. How much privacy are we able to have? How much do we need? What is the power of living without privacy. The Adulting Podcast is your weekly resource for, by, and about millennials and others who are trying to figure out this adulthood thing.

011- Stay-At-Home Dog Mom (Part 1)
Sometimes, I wish my husband was out of school, solidified in his career, so I could be a stay-at-home dog mom. I would just opt-out of the economy, out of the rat race completely. I quickly snap out of it, but not before wondering if women less likely to find fulfillment from their careers than men. Is it just me? It turns out that in a world where everyone's lives should be improving due to technological advancements and economic prosperity, women are actaully reporting lower levels of well-being. What's up? Is it the rat race, or is it what we do after work that is making the difference? Turns out, the answer may be our relationships, our social capital. The Adulting Podcast is your weekly resource of, by, and about millennials and others who are trying to figure out this adulthood thing. I cite these pieces in this episode The Paradox of Declining Female Happiness and Money, Gender and Job Satisfaction by Catherine Rampell.

009- Thoughts on Relationships
What are the keys to a good relationship? I have no idea, but in this episode, my husband, Joshua, and I try to lay out a few things that have worked for us. We also have a crazy announcement. The Adulting podcast is your weekly resource for, by and about millennials who are just trying to figure out this adulthood thing.

008- Freedom and Responsibility
It's rumored that Sojourner Truth actually considered selling herself back into slavery after she became free. Freedom defines the American persona, but how much do we want, and how much is too much? I cite studies on choice by Professors Sheena Iyengar, Timothy Wilson, and I even throw in a Dr. Oz reference. The Adulting podcast is your weekly resource for, by and about millennials who are just trying to figure out this adulthood thing.

What happens to us when we grow up as smart kids? In this episode, we explore the psychology of being told we're smart, the effect of identifying as intelligent, and the effect this has on the workforce. For more on this, see this Psychology Today article , this TED talk by Carol Dweck, and this Harvard Business Review piece on HR and the millennial workforce.  Get your weekly dose of adulthood with the Adulting Podcast- of, by, and for millennials and others who are trying to figure out this growing up thing.
