Crowdfunding Made Simple with Wayne Mulligan
One of the fastest ways to make huge investment gains is through private equity deals – generally small startup companies with massive growth potential. But until recently, private equity deals were reserved for high level venture capitalists – accredited “angel” investors with a net worth of over $1 million. Now that barrier to entry has been broken down, allowing mom and pop investors to get in on the action. And that’s where Wayne Mulligan’s company Crowdability comes into play. Today, Wayne discusses how Crowdability is helping everyday investors gain exposure to some of the best private equity deals around, and why now is the perfect time to get started. Wayne Mulligan is a Financial Media executive with Wall Street and technology experience, and a history of start-up success. Mulligan started his technology career early, working as a programmer while still in high school, and gradually building a tech firm that employed a dozen people. After a stint on Wall Street, he built a tech platform called TickerHound that helped investors find answers to finance and investing questions. TickerHound was acquired by a financial education and publishing company called The Institute for Individual Investors (IFII). After joining IFII, Wayne climbed the ranks and eventually became CEO. In 2011, he spearheaded IFII’s sale to the largest financial newsletter publisher in the world. Wayne received his BA from Columbia University.
