We also give a shoutout to the Mighty Vibe, an Ipod shuffle mimic that syncs your Spotify premium playslists on it to carry your music with you on your workouts. It’s tiny, it’s rugged, it’s also a blast from the past, in a way.Two important Oscar winners for us, Black Panther and Into the Spiderverse! The is a new Overwatch hero coming, with some criticizing his design for being to similar to Fortnite’s African American character, or Team Fortress 2, Scottish Demoman. Well folks, news are grim. Despite having one of their best years yet, Activision Blizzard is restructuring, meanning more than 800 people are going to lose their job. Blizzard has no plans to release a major new game this year. We get a glimpse of Division 2’s beta, talk about some random fun facts. Like how Apex is based on the source engine, which I thought about when an audio bug with microphones happened (and later confirmed with research). Battle of the triple A’s, as DJ wanted to call it. So news wise, this is a short one. Football, patriots won the Superbowl again, the company Riddell is trying out 3d printed football helmets to try and maximize shock absorbtion and reduce chances of concussion to each player’s head. The great Maroon 5 - Travis Scott - Spongebob mid game show fiasco brought the internet to the pitchfork store again. Kingdom Hearts 3 is faring well! They sold 5 million copies in a week, which is a satisfactory number, one would think. Microsoft games change to Xbox game studios as the lack of first party games becomes an issue. Ties into their strategy of making Xbox a platform, not just a console. Speaking of which, their new apps are coming on Android Iphone and Switch. You read that right, an Xbox app on Switch. Lastly, we dig into both Apex and Anthem reviews from what we’ve seen so far.

Phib had the wonderful opportunity to play the Resident Evil 2 remake and gives us his opinion on the remake. While his Anthem beta code was not working, DJ got in and played a mission, with a positive review. Nintendo delays Metroid Prime 4 after some creative direction issues. Nvidia lowers sales expectations for RTX graphics cards as demand stays low. A famous modder named Durante opens his own game studio focused on computer game ports and compatibility QA (Thanks to his PHD in computer. Singular). Steam makes all windows games compatible with Linux, not just the steam ones! Which is a good thing considering they just lost the Metro Exodus release to Epic games. Dragonball Fighter Z announces their second season fighters.

So surprisingly, this week is… completely dead. There’s some sweet Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez showing up in a stream for Transgender youth support where she raised a bunch of money. We’re ready to talk business and we have a pretty packed episode. CES had some pretty interesting tech to show, albeit stuff we had already heard about in 2018. MicroLED tech in Samsung’s TV wall, LG’s rolling TV, new Chromebooks and bending phones. Asus displayed their ROG Mothership laptop (model GZ700). Awesome Games Done Quick was happening in the previous week of Januray 6th all the way to January 13th. We thought it’d be a good idea to underline the feats acheived during the event. It’s for the Prevent Cancer foundation, after all.Tesla is being sued for making unreasonably dangerous cars. Atlus teases Persona 5 R, Bungie splits from Activision, a new Bioshock game could be in the works, and even MORE NEWS in this week’s episode!

So we got our quick news corner, which is essentially the core of the show, but for this we wanted to focus also on content we REALLY like, or ultimately hated, in our key areas.
