What are our new fall TV favorites this season? We’ll tell you what we’ve been watching on this episode of That TV Show! NBC renews The Sing-Off for a holiday run, Myst may be turned into a series, and Amazon is stepping up the new and interesting ideas with movies on streaming. Google is working on huge TVs, Redbox Instant Streaming is no more, and Mozilla is lighting up the Matchstick.   It’s Fall Season Preview time on That TV Show! Hemlock ‘Gross’ is renewed for one more season, and Pat and Jules preview what’s on their list for the new fall premieres. Jules and Pat are back with Emmy results on this week’s show! NBC didn’t even let Emerald City open its gates to viewers before cancellation. Netflix is spending big money on broadcast shows, and ones that haven’t even premiered yet. Has streaming war truly begun, with Hulu Plus, Amazon, and Netflix all sharing that they got exclusive rights to certain shows? TiVo brings back memories, and announces a new DVR for those that don’t have a cable subscription. WEtv is bringing us Sex Box from the UK.   It’s another snarky episode of That TV Show! We said goodbye to the voice of Saturday Night, Don Pardo, this week. The Emmys are on a Monday, VMAs on Sunday, and The Doctor returns on Saturday. ABC is showing us how they made Frozen, and Netflix announces a documentary about 3D printing companies. Roku has its own TV now, but another option to consider is...a Blu-Ray player for streaming? Netflix is diving deeper into the stand-up comedy specials. We talk about episodes 3-6 of the Netflix original series Derek, starring Ricky Gervais. Netflix passes HBO in subscriber revenue for the first time, and we give you the scoop on another option to watch local stations on mobile devices. Amazon Prime announces its 3rd pilot season, and Pat gives his predictions based on description alone. A&E is doing a reality show about online relationships, and it’s perfect for The Poop.   It’s a very meet-up episode of That TV Show this week! The MN Meetup was awesome, and we thank all of our fans we got to meet last weekend. Sharknado 2 got the internet all aTwitter last night...did Sharks in the City hold up to the hype? Slingbox may be the answer to all your mobile watching needs, if you’re willing to pay for it. NFL Sunday Ticket can now be bought as a stand-alone stream, but yeah, there’s a catch! Kumo is on the horizon and could be a cord cutters’ dreams come true in Aereo’s wake. Lifetime TV loses out on its reality show about a family mortuary after a grievous discovery. We finish Season 1 of Vikings (History Channel) and share our final thoughts. Doctor Who has a premiere date for Season 8 and Peter Capaldi, and Gotham is premiering at Comic Con before hitting the airwaves. Google is releasing Android TV, but it’s not a set-top box this time. Aereo gets its day in the Supreme Court, and it’s bad news for streamers, but is a new technology taking its place? We’re back with season 4 of That TV Show! Netflix is all about the original series development, with Vincent D’Onofrio, Martin Sheen, Lily Tomlin, Rosario Dawson and Jane Fonda signing up for shows. Chelsea Handler is breaking ground with a new talk show on (you guessed it) Netflix in 2016. Sony says they’re giving us PlayStation TV, but without the… TV? Plastic surgeons are fixing their peers’ mistakes on E!’s new show Botched.  We take on episodes 1-3 of Hulu Plus’ original series Deadbeat, starring Tyler Labine.

It’s a beat up, banged up host version of That TV Show this week, but Pat and Jules won’t let a little pain stop them! Marvel is digging in even deeper to the TV audiences this fall with Agent Carter. Hulu is now offering full episodes of TV shows on their mobile app, while Netflix bumps up its prices slightly for new subscribers. Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a nun?   Pat will never look at sandy beaches the same again on this episode of That TV Show! Showtime is jumping on the ensemble literary character show trend with Penny Dreadful and Fox is doing a live broadcast of the musical Grease next year.  Is Siri coming to Apple TV now that voice command technology is all the rage? HBO makes a huge deal with Amazon Prime, but you’re still not going to see the current stuff anywhere else, and Microsoft and Yahoo introduce their slate of original online shows. MTV is continuing its “kids gone wild” trend in Alaska this time.   Our heads are in “the Cloud” in this episode of That TV Show! SNL is celebrating its 40th anniversary next year in a big way, and BBC America is giving the history of science fiction in 4 parts. Aereo had its day in court today, and the Justices are still learning what cloud technology means, CBS is making plans in case Aereo wins, and Netflix is raising its prices to keep bringing us original content.   Hats off to you in this episode of That TV Show! Fargo is coming to FX as a TV series, but the accent is still the same. David Letterman announces his retirement plans, CBS nabs his replacement already, and Syfy is going to get a whole lot more of Wil Wheaton. Amazon came out with its own streaming box after all, HBOGo is not being very customer-friendly, and Aereo isn’t slowing its plans for expansion despite its pending Supreme Court ruling.  The Watch List is talking episodes 6-9 of Justified, streaming through Amazon Prime.

Syfy is serenading us with a 6-hour space opera mini series, United will be streaming movies and TV to your mobile devices in-flight, and the Asus Chromebox is joining the fray of streaming boxes.
