TG Geeks Webcast Episode 291
The Two Gay Geeks 🏳️🌈 have a chat with three authors about how they write. We chat with KD Edwards, who you may be familiar with if you have listened to our show for any length of time, as well as Gregory Ashe, who we interviewed a couple of weeks ago about a new book he had coming out, and we talk with David R. Slayton, an author we will have an interview with shortly about his new book. We had a Writer's Round Table on “Pantsing versus Plotting” style of writing. Have a listen and we hope you enjoy this as much as we did.
About Our Panelists

KD Edwards
K.D. lives and writes in North Carolina, but has spent time in Massachusetts, Maine, Colorado, New Hampshire, Montana, and Washington. (Common theme until NC: Snow. So, so much snow.)
Mercifully short careers in food service, interactive television, corporate banking, retail management, and bariatric furniture have led to a much less short career in Higher Education.
The first book in his urban fantasy series THE TAROT SEQUENCE, called THE LAST SUN, was published in June 2018.
K.D. is represented by Sara Megibow at kt literary, and Kim Yau at Paradigm for media rights.
K.D. EDWARDS WRITES ADULT AND YA URBAN FANTASY.
Gregory Ashe
I'm a long-time Midwesterner. I've lived in Chicago, Bloomington (IN), and Saint Louis, my current home. Aside from reading and writing (which take up a lot of my time), I'm an educator.
While I enjoy reading across many genres, my two main loves are mystery and speculative fiction. I used to keep a list of favorite books, but it changes so frequently that I've given up. I'm always looking for recommendations, though, so please drop me a line if you have something in mind!
David R. Slayton
I grew up in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where finding fantasy novels was pretty challenging, and finding fantasy novels with diverse characters was downright impossible. Now I live in Denver, Colorado, and write the books I always wanted to read.
My debut fantasy, WHITE TRASH WARLOCK will be out October 13th, 2020 from Blackstone Publishing.
You can pre-order it from your local indie.
It’s also available at Barnes and Noble or internationally at Amazon.com
In addition to writing, I have taught workshops and appeared on panels at Denver Comic-Con, the Pikes Peak Writers Conference, the League of Utah Writers Quills Conference, and the Seymour Agency Winter Retreat.
By day I’m a software implementation consultant.
I love connecting with readers. If you’d like to contact me for a school visit or appearance, you can email me at author@davidrslayton.com.

In our second segment, we chat about our lack of published content for two weeks now, we had a family issue one week and our server hosting partner, GoDaddy had a major malfunction for multiple clients. We also highlight recent articles posted to the tggeeks.com in the past week. As always we have our birthdays and we have the ever-popular feedback segment.
We welcome your feedback. Please, let us know what you think. Good or bad, we want to know and you could receive a shoutout in the feedback segment. Thank you for listening, we really do appreciate you taking time out of your day to spend with us.
