International Holocaust Remembrance Day is upon us, and the TBI crew is doing our part to make sure that we'll never forget. Join us as we look through the lens at some of Hollywood's various portrayals of the horrors that took place in 1940s Europe: Schindler's List, The Pianist, Life is Beautiful, and countless others. Along the way we get into some of the social psychology behind fascism and how entire, otherwise normative populations, are dragged into the darkest depths of human cruelty. We also take some time to reflect on our personal connections to the Holocaust through our family histories, and what it means to us as individuals. Human morality is the central theme that binds the whole thing together, and we hope that you're able to find some catharsis of your own, as well as the inspiration to go out and do a good deed and not stand idly by at the suffering of others. African American / Black History Month Part 1  Curtains up, folks! February is Black History Month, and we have our work cut out for us, so we're gettin' started a bit early and kickin' things off with some more well-aged joints: Menace 2 Society and He Got Game. Find out if you know as little as we do about black American culture, and join us as we seek to broaden our horizons and stuff. We talk about some of our favorite black artists, entertainers and filmmakers, and try to expose ourselves to as many "new" ones as possible. Suggestions welcome, happy listening!

Movie Talk 001  2019 was a big year for movies, and we even saw a few of them! Our hands-down favorite was definitely Joker, but we also have some good things to say about Tarantino's new flick and Dolemite Is My Name. Don't be shocked if we have some constructive criticism, too. Also, catch our recommendations for movies of yesteryear that we just happened to watch in 2019. We're off and running, folks, and for our first episode we decided to bite off the biggest chunk we could find: the Star Wars saga. We're fresh out of the theater from Episode 9 and we have a lot on our minds.
