Unlike a traditional band biography that will tell you all of the great things the band has accomplished, we’re here to use this place to tell our story. Feeling a click when encountering live music for the first time is magical; it’s what drives us to pursue the dream of creating full-time with a fiery passion. Finding other people with the same mindset is a must. Through this band and our music, we aim to share our journey while building a community that encourages others to do the same. After dabbling in multiple aspects of the music and art world, we have learned the value of sharing experiences to connect with our audience and hope to inspire a positive outlook on the potential of their creativity. We are definitely a visual band. We thrive on the novelty of two musicians creating the same sonic energy of five people. We do this by utilizing live looping to demonstrate that less can be more with the right mindset. It’s all about chemistry between the people (or in our case person) that you’re playing with and always playing music that feels genuine and authentic. #JayceLevi #Secretsecretdinoclub #AstroSafariUSA Secret Secret Dino Club started recording music under his bed in 2007. After spending most of his time promoting his songs on AIM and Myspace, he began to tour regionally playing in VFW Halls, American Legions and independent venues across the country. SSDC would often perform shows in mall parking lots with his mini disc player plugged into his car speakers and singing over top.  After getting scared of traveling alone he enlisted the live help of various instrumentalists and signed a record deal with Drive-Thru Records in 2009. His first release on the label was a split ep “Chicken Finger Fingers” with Allstar Weekend made exclusively to be sold while promoting at the parking lots of Jonas Brother concerts. The promotional tour was cut short when the van carrying both bands was crushed into a telephone pole by a semi-truck. Everyone escaped the crash with only minor injuries but all instruments were lost. Immediately after the promotional tour he finished recording the album “Look Cat Meow” which would not be released for over 2 years after completion. He sited label issues and increased interest in outside projects as reasons for the delay. During this time SSDC released various singles and EPs on secret websites creating a scavenger hunt of .mp3’s for his most devoted fans. In 2011 SSDC and Drive-Thru Records parted ways. DO WE HAVE AN EPISODE FOR YOU GUYS TODAY!!!!! As you can probably tell from that last sentence being all caps, I am very excited for today's episode. Very excited. Because people, we scored our first real celebrity interview. On today's podcast we interviewed a guy from a little known band called Survivor, who famously came on the scene in 1982 with their original song "Eye of the Tiger" from Rocky III. This guy joined after the release of that movie, but he was also in a little known movie that was the subject of a lot of conversation here on this channel, known simply as the Karate Kid. And we got him, the one and only Jeffrey Bryan!!!! Jeff was just a cool guy. He's an expert keyboardist, vocalist, technist, whole bunch of other ist's, and he knew a lot. We talked about his time on the Karate Kid, which is actually much more extensive that the final product would have you believe. He talked about his experience with the GREAT John G. Avildsen and reveals some secrets about his techniques there. But mostly, we just talked and had a great conversation. About life, his and ours, our thoughts on the music and movie industry and what social media and rapidly increasing amounts of technology are doing to it, and so much more. Guys, I say this a lot, but this really was our best episode yet. And we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
