Holistic is NOT the Alternative - w/ Adam Continenza
Do you know what it means for something to be called "Holistic?" What exactly is "holistic healthcare" let alone the philosophy of "holism?"I'd bet you that you're far more holistically minded than you think. Which, as you'll find out from this episode, is no surprise, because it's embedded within our very makeupYour body-mind-emotions-relationships-soul... it's ALL holistic. When we finally learn how to add it all together, take a step back and look at the bigger picture of our lives, we find out that we are far greater than any piece of our lives that we could possibly parse out and measure under a microscope. That our universe is far greater than anything we could capture with a telescope. And that we are intimately connected to all of it. Tune in with my brother, Adam Continenza, and me as we explore various aspects of holistic living and start to paint a picture of just how grand your life's story really is. *Note: I made at least one mistake in my reporting of stats. At one point in the episode, I state that our protein encoding DNA makes up approximately 5% of our genome and that the rest is what has formerly been called "junk DNA." This is false. Latest estimates put protein encoding DNA at 1-2% of the total, while other gene and regulatory sequences make up approximately 25%, leaving about 73-74% left for the "rest" of us.

A Story of Wholeness
Our story influences our reality in myriad ways. Sets the stage for our thoughts, words and actions...Colors our moods and emotions...Sets the frame of reference for our selection and interpretation of facts...Dictates how, when and where we attribute a sense of meaning and significance in the world...And, if we don't get our story straightened out, we're destined to become stuck in someone else's preprogramed reality - rife with all the pitfalls of their shortcomings and lacking the perks of our own unique potential - robbing ourselves and the world of that which can only be made perfect through the uninhibited expression of wholeness inherent within each individual. If you were to challenge the story you've been told about the nature of existence, set your imagination free and build a new interpretation of creation based on your highest hopes and wildest dream, how positively impactful and filled with blessings would your life become? I'll take a go at it in this week's episode, "A Story of Wholeness."

Reframing Our Relationship to Biology
Growth occurs when we lean into - or are pushed against - the edges of our comfort and personal capabilities. This is true for any skillset or physical attribute, as well as our capacity for mental, emotional, social or existential expression. With this in mind, let's continue to stretch the boundary of our relationship to health, our conception of illness, and our place within the natural world. The  goal of this particular episode is to begin opening ourselves to a completely new understanding of viruses, in particular - one that stems from a reality of interconnectedness and deep  trust in the wisdom of creation. Why bother?Because, when we shift ourselves from a posture of defense against the invading forces of nature toward one of peaceful communication, we can end our war against biology and begin to foster a sense of reverence and appreciation for the intelligence of life. And I believe that's a world worth striving to achieve.

Where Illness Meets Intelligence
What is your relationship with illness? How personally empowering and uplifting is your view of it?You are not limited to one paradigm, nor one set of programmable beliefs - let alone one line of products manufactured in accordance with a specific interpretation of reality to which you don't subscribe. Our understanding of the intelligence of life and the interconnectedness of all things need not be dictated by the status quo. What happens to our concept of illness when we start to test the common doctrine against the strongest possible foundation of trust we can embody - deep-seated trust in the goodness of creation? Let's find out.

Why the @#$% is Everything so Weird? - w/ Adam Continenza
I had my brother, Adam Red Wolf, back on the show for an excellent episode of Take on Life.  We tackle some big questions in an effort to make a little bit more sense, and perhaps get some meaning, out of life. It seems to be that, the more we learn about life, the universe and reality, the stranger it really becomes.  We learn more and more about the interconnectedness of it all, and yet, we recoil against it, minimizing our perspective... Collapsing our sense of self down into little, managable compartments. Maybe it's because, the more we learn, the less we find out we ultimately know. Increased knowledge --> Increased unknowns. Despite it all, we've found one thing to be true - that there are untold amounts of truth and insight to be gained by the imagination. Particularly, as it is expressed through the realms of sci-fi and fantasy. This and more, Adam and I discuss in this latest episode of Take on Life, "Why the @#$% is Everything so Weird?" https://www.buzzsprout.com/641575/5750584

Connection Over Division
Do you know how dangerous it is to let division run rampant? In our minds, our relationships, and our social structures? How far do the ramifications reach? I'm talking personal health and self-identity,  The integrity of our species, as a whole, And our very concept of reality - what is ACTUALLY happening - both individually and collectively. Are you going to like where we end up if we don't take personal responsibility to apply the remedy wherever possible? Yes, there is an antidote, and it will lead to a richer present and a better future. Through the sum total expression of our thoughts, words, and actions. Join me for this latest episode of Take on Life to find out why this is so important.

Recap & Re-Vision: Enter Season 2
At some point in every story, there comes a time for one chapter to close so that another may open. Though in some ways, our own personal histories and streams of thought feel continuous from one moment to the next, there is a certain kind of potency that arises when we notice the almost imperceptible shifts in subtle energies and oscillating rhythms of life.I felt one of those moments occur recently, and so I am choosing to honor it by calling this episode the first in a new season of Life. It may seem arbitrary or irrelevant, but maybe the most powerful alterations in the timeline of humanity all start out that way, at first. Who's to say? Regardless, I'm calling it on this one. Join me for this personal restructuring of thought and intention that I call... Season 2!

Interview on The RFC Podcast w/ Dr. Zach Thomas
This episode was originally recorded on The RFC Podcast by Dr. Zach Thomas, with me as the guest. I am re-releasing it here because of how much I enjoyed it! This is the third episode in a four-part mini-series called "De-Coding Stress" that Dr. Zach put together, each episode featuring an interview with fellow chiropractors and colleagues of mine. In this episode, we talk about the physiology of stress and exactly how the body goes through the process of reacting to stress in the environment, creating patterns of neurological function to deal with that stress, and HOW we can then use the energy bound up in those patterns to facilitate healing and open ourselves to the liberation of both the mind and body. Make sure to check out episodes 1, 2 and 4 of De-Coding Stress on The RFC Podcast!

How do we set ourselves up to consistently and reliably adapt, grow, and evolve in response to new information within our reality? Our ability to positively impact our own well-being and to extend this field of influence into the world around us relies upon the interwoven elements of our mindset, belief structures and sense-of-self...Of our feelings, moods and emotions...Our thoughts, words and actions...Of the integrity of communication between our brain and body...Of our immune system's relationship to the natural world..Along with the sum total of all aspects of who and what we are. There are countless ways to live and express ourselves that will lead to disconnection, incoherence and disorganization There are only a few ways create coherent, constructive order out of chaos in such a way that it will improve the whole of your life and humanity, now and into the future.

New In-Formation Upgrade - Pt. 1
Information is everything.Everything is information. The way we process information within our personal and collective realities determines whether we grow or die. This episode is a pondering of the idea above where I feel my way through various concepts of information exchange, and how the proper integration of such results in our own growth and prosperity. I will explore these same concepts in a more applicable and experiential way in Part 2, next week.

A Unifying Perspective
It's easy to see that there is a division within humanity at this time and no shortage of perspectives from which to argue with each other. What isn't as easy to see is exactly how this perpetuation of differences through heated debate and alienation is affecting us, as a whole. Are we moving closer to finding the truth, establishing peace, and creating harmony on Earth? If not, then is there another way that we can and should approach our differences, in an effort to come closer to a sense of ultimate truth and liberation? I believe so, and this episode is an attempt at painting the picture of a coherent new possibility for our future.

Coming to Our Own Conclusions
There is a growing need for us humans to become better communicators. Especially in this day and age, where an increasing number of our interactions are conducted digitally, it seems we're losing touch with the ability to express ourselves clearly and to understand others who's thoughts and beliefs differ from our own.And yet, perhaps we've lost nothing, and are simply ready for an upgrade. This episode aims to provide an actionable, introspective, step-by-step solution - a pathway that will lead you to a more complete understanding of your own theories and assumptions about reality while broadening your capacity to understand alternate perspectives.

Trusting in the Wisdom of the Body
We say that the body is intelligent. That it's meant to heal itself, when given the proper opportunity to do so.But what does it mean to actually live in accordance with this principle? What does it feel like to experience this, in the moment? How do we learn to listen in this way, and to act accordingly?I've had a series of recent experiences in life that have lead me to a new understanding of what it means to TRUST the body in this way. In this episode, I share these stories and more with you, including a recollection what I'm calling my "best" worst illness, as well as the birth of my first daughter.
