Mikayla Rochelle, a sophomore studying Journalism and Political Science joins George on Swing State of Mind as the new cohost and they discuss what they plan on covering this next year. Mikayla is a sophomore studying Journalism- Strategic Communication and Political Science at Ohio University. She is an opinion columnist and former reporter for The Post. Mikayla is also the Scripps College of Communication Senator for Student Senate, and also hold a position as the Vice-Commissioner for state/federal issues on the Governmental Affairs commission. She is also member of Ohio University College Republicans.

Daniel Kilgore, a Columbus resident and political activist is running for the Democratic nomination for Ohio’s 15th Congressional District. George interviews Kilgore about his candidacy and how he plans to run against Steve Stivers, the Republican incumbent from Upper Arlington.

Swing State of Mind begins the 2019 fall semester with a recap of the summer’s news with special guest Abby Miller, a news editor at The Post.
