My Unprofessional Opinion on Mental Health, Coping, and The Current Pandemic
Today I'm talking about mental health, the current pandemic, school online, and my unprofessional advice and opinions on how to cope and use techniques to calm the mind. I am not a professional in any way in these subjects, these are just my shared opinions and experiences. I also discuss ways to help those who may be dealing with suicide ideation, in honor of Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month. For better resources on how to find help for you or someone you know who is dealing with thoughts of suicide, please visit https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/talk-to-someone-now/ or call 1-800-273-8255 to talk to someone who can help.Music: Summer Bummer by No VacationFollow us on social media for the latest updates!Podcast:InstagramTwitterHost:InstagramTwitter

Art Talk with Rosa Nussbaum
Today I am joined by professional artist Rosa Nussbaum, talking about the difficulties and rewards of building a career in art, how secondary education can have benefits and struggles, and more! I was lucky to have met Rosa during my first photography job at my internship at Women & Their Work Gallery in Austin, TX. She is a British/German artist who works at the intersection of performance and sculpture with an emphasis on interactivity and technology. Her work explores the place where the (female) body touches the institution. She received her BFA from Wimbledon College of Arts, London, UK in 2014 and her MFA in Studio Art: Transmedia from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018.To learn more about Rosa and her work, visit her website at http://rosanussbaum.com and follow her on social media at http://instagram.com/rosanussbaum.Music: Summer Bummer by No VacationFollow us on social media for the latest updates!Podcast:Instagram TwitterHost:InstagramTwitter

I Don't Know What It Means To Be Hispanic or Latinx
Today's episode involves a lot of personal tension with the subject of racial, ethnic, and cultural identity. Growing up in America as a second-generation Latinx/Hispanic, I have felt a divide between what I see socially and politically in what it means to be either. Today, I look into the history of what those words mean and whether I identify with them or not. There's a lot of repetition of words and phrases, but it's hopefully all to make a point in the end about where I stand with this subject. This could be a continuing series for all I know, but we'll see. Stay tuned. Comment on my website on the episode's page or email me with your personal stories about identity. I would love to hear what you think and where you're coming from as well. Music: Summer Bummer by No VacationFollow us on social media for updates!PodcastInstagramTwitterHostInstagramTwitter

Kanye West & Breaking Mental Health Stigmas
In today's episode I wanted to get to a subject I am passionate about -- mental health, disorders, and disabilities. I always look to advocate for mental health and hope to help break stigmas and stereotypes about certain disorders and disabilities and what it means to ask for help with anxiety and depression. In light of what has been happening in the media with Kanye West lately, I wanted to share my opinion on the matter as well as try to start a conversation on why we shouldn't look at the surface as having all of the information. Listen in or read about today's topic and tell me your own thoughts on the subject!Music: Summer Bummer by No VacationNew website coming this Friday! Turning 26: Reflecting On This Past Year
It's my birthday! In this episode, I talk things that have piqued my interest lately -- comics, tv shows, art, etc. -- as well as reflect on the past year, the struggles it brought, and what positive influences it has caused to push me to move forward. I hope others can take some advice if they're going through similar struggles with anxiety and I can't wait to see what the future has in store beyond this past year. (Also, this is my first time recording alone but with someone in my apartment, so enjoy a small snippet of my boyfriend annoying me while I set up at the beginning.)Music: Summer Bummer by No Vacation

My Brutal Journey with Ulcerative Colitis
In today's episode, I'm deciding to get more personal. This story shares the past year of how I have dealt with hardships after being diagnosed with a chronic illness. I am by no means an expert in this subject, this is just my experience. I am always looking to spread awareness about illness, mental health, and anything that can alter our lives and how we can hope to better deal with them, along with some words of encouragement for anyone who's struggling mentally or physically. Join in the conversation! Share your story, if you like. If you would like to share, but remain anonymous to the public, email the show at: email@example.com Follow us on social media! Addressing 4th of July 2020 (Episode 2) & An Apology
This extra audio is addressing some issues I found about how I originally addressed the 4th of July at the beginning of Episode 2. Although I did record prior to the weekend, I want to address how I felt like my words did not address the issues of violence against black individuals well enough, even if the articles and headlines weren't posted yet. Please listen before or after you listen to the 2nd episode.

Black Lives Matter & Police Brutality
Today's episode is about Black Lives Matter, police brutality, and what we could be doing to support the movement and fight against senseless violence and injustices toward black people. You can donate to the following Black Lives Matter and police-reform organizations...Color of ChangeAnti Racism FundTo look into other non-profits you can donate too, click here. Also, look into helping Dreamers! This not only includes immigrants but includes black individuals and minorities throughout the United States. Follow us on social media!Podcast:InstagramTwitterHost:InstagramTwitterThis is a longer podcast than I originally intended, and some things may seem out of context or random, but trust me, they all tie in together. This was edited with add-ins as I was editing throughout the weekend and a lot more heinous crimes and attempted murders of black folks had happened. They are not specifically mentioned in today's podcast, but my heart goes out to anyone being personally affected by hate and racism.
