Why Do Relationships Fail After 3 Months?
Why do some relationships fail so quickly when they begin so insanely great? Click here for the Youtube Video Hint: It has something to do with yourself …. actually, it has EVERYTHING to do with you and how well you know yourself. This week, Lexi and I dig deep into the real, bottom line, at-the-core cause of not being able to create a solid, stable and long-lasting, FULFILLING relationship. Stuff we talk about in the show: Why a deep “knowing” of who you are is absolutely necessary for a long-lasting, fulfilling relationship The signs to look for in a relationship that will immediately signal you don’t know yourself well enough for the relationship to survive. How does the Ego impact a relationship and what you can do to get it out of the way of a potentially great relationship? The reason your expectations in a relationship are too high or why none of your relationships have ever measured up. How much does your childhood impact your relationship issues? Why Do Relationships Fail? “It seemed so good in the beginning…what happened?” I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that this phrase has been uttered by every single person that found their unicorn, started their whirlwind relationship and ended up alone in the corner of the bedroom drowning themselves in a pint of Ben & Jerry’s. Now, we’re not saying that every failed relationship will be your fault or due to not having a deep understanding of who you are and how your operate, but it could be the case with a relationship that could have been amazing if you had only given the time and effort to do a little introspection. 3 Simple Tools to Know Yourself Better We end the show by talking about some simple things you can do to get to know yourself a little better. In the end, none of us want to be the reason a potentially magical relationship ends up in the dumpster. Thank God the solution is staring back at you in the mirror. How to Be Less Angry With People
The key to be less angry with people has been right in front of you the whole time. This week’s podcast episode is all about the power of controlling your thoughts and emotions even though the world seems to be unraveling at the seams. Youtube video of the podcast: https://youtu.be/5PWLdjcofZM I share a very effective tool from the famous Stoic Philosopher, Marcus Aurelius, and 17 of his friends that can immediately provide higher levels of: Self-Awareness Context Perspective Marcus shared the tool on the first page of his book, “Meditations” and all you need is a pen, a piece of paper and a few good friends and mentors to refer to in times of crisis. I also talk about how Stoic Philosophy was the foundation for the invention of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is one of the most effective forms of psychological therapy in use today. With way too much focus being put on the extreme idiots of the world, it is really important to not get caught up in all of the negative energy. This is an essential leadership skill to be a better leader. But with a simple technique you can start using today, you’ll be able to break free of the fear and anxiety and become one of those people that other look up to…inspire to act and be an effective leader. The Key to Better Relationships is All About Expectations
The secret formula to better relationships is all about your EXPECTATIONS. Are you the type of person who never seems satisfied…who is always moving the carrot on yourself? Do your relationships start to get tough because one of you now expects more from the other person than they did before? Does your significant other or close friend expect you to “read their mind” and get upset when you don’t know exactly what they are thinking? Well, actually we are all instinctually programmed to feel this way…you can thank our caveman forefathers. On this episode I talk about the new, groundbreaking study that was just published by Harvard that talks about this thing we are wrestle with. They call it Prevalence-Induced Concept Change When you improve your life, you will then judge your life based on your new and improved situation. And since we all have to deal with this one way or the other, I thought it would be a good idea to share with you a life hack to get you past that unfulfilled feeling and back on the improvement and expansion track. So, Lexi and I figured we’d throw out the most ridiculous advice and tell you why the advice sucks and how it’s making things a lot harder than they have to be. Dating Myths Exposed The surprising thing about these dating tips…they have been around a long time and most people think they are a good idea. I would be very interested to hear the worst piece of dating advice you got and how you worked around it. In Your 30’s and Single … Is There Hope?
If you are almost 30, in your 30’s or wish you were 30, and single, then you’re in the right place. In this week’s podcast I answer a question a lot of my client’s have right now… I’m 30 and still single … is there hope? You and I know that the answer is obviously “yes” but you and I also know that’s really not the question that is being asked. The question is more about getting real with yourself about your confidence and how much you believe in your current path and questioning what you’ve done wrong or what you’re doing wrong that’s keeping that special person from being a part of your life. Good news is, I can help you figure this out by sharing a story about playing a game of Uno with my granddaughter. For the record, most of life’s secrets can be solved by playing Uno. But for now, let’s stick to finding you someone that deserves YOU. Yes, there is hope, but you have to BELIEVE and the best way to do that is… Comments , Questions or Coaching: firstname.lastname@example.org FB: https://www.facebook.com/TheJavaBud/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/thejavabud Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thejavabud/ The post In Your 30’s and Single … Is There Hope? appeared first on SBI Radio Podcast.

Top 10 Regrets in Life By Those About To Die
This week’s show talks about the top 10 regrets in life by those about to die and by those that are still alive and working towards a NO RAGRETS life (not even one letter). According to a fantastic book by nurse Bronnie Ware, interestingly enough, most people about to die have 5 similar regrets. The last 5 regrets I have added based on my own experience and from the shared experiences of my clients. Over the past 10 years, my career coaching and relationship therapy clients have typically ranged from 25 to 40 years old with most being professional women. In almost every case, the life regrets of my clients are very similar. In combining the regrets of the dying with the regrets of the young, successful professionals I’ve coached, this show presents a solid framework for dialing into your own mindset and setting your life up so you won’t have any regrets now or when it’s time for you to say goodbye. The bottom line is: Relationships are everything…and… Dance like nobody’s watching, because YOU JUST DON’T CARE! The good news is, YES, you should quit your job to follow your dream… …BUT… You have to do it the right way in order to make it happen. In this week’s show I talk about: What it takes to make that dream job a reality I share my story about How NOT to quit and follow your dream What you need to do BEFORE anything when it comes to your dream job What specific steps you need to take to make it happen What the road to your dream job will look like and how to come to terms with your “dream” job maybe not matching your fantasy Good news is: There are a lot of people who have quit their jobs to follow their dream and they are now living that reality. But it can only happen if you get REALLY clear on the “what”, be okay with the bumps and bruises along the path and create a solid plan to make it happen.
